You loved Dany in Meereen? Man, I get it, everyone has opinions and all that, but man. It was like literary trepanning for me. There was hardly any real inner conflict that i can remember. Mostly she was dealing with petty bureaucratic bullshit, fucking Daario, and dealing with an endless parade of demands from character-less Meereenese goons

I guess it just bothers me they cut characters like Arianne, Greyjoy brothers, Aegon/Jon Con, but we have time for stupid shit like Ramsay's girlfriend being jealous of Sansa. Seriously, wtf? Two women are in the same place, they obviously have to hate each other. This is an unfair criticism. Myranda was shown to be a jealous type back in Season 4. Also, she's batshit insane. And it's not like the show always has female characters hate each other.

Sorry, I often have difficulty reading tone on the internet. Also, people have actually made that argument seriously over at Censeros

Lol, I suggest a reread. Her whole arc in that book was struggling between being a dragon or Mysha. She finally realized in her last chapter which one to embrace.

Hmm getting very Westeros in here. Telling me to re-read. Quite presumptuous of you good ser! I happen to have read Dance thrice, ser. And I still disagree. I think most of the time the story was focused on petty bullshit, Daario and dull as dishwater Meereenese politics. I think the show has distilled the essence of the conflict you describe her embracing far better this season than in Dance, by cutting Gallaza and Chucko mo Flucko and his band, having less Daario love scenes etc.

Oh ffs, it always comes down to Daario doesn't it. I hope Dany takes him to Westeros and precedes to make him her king Consort, and fucks him day and night.
Why Dany fucking Daario is such a big deal to some people I will never understand.

People just attack each other over there and it's happening in this thread.

I get people not liking Daario generally, but a lot of the negativity isn't so much aimed at Daario himself, but the fact that Daenerys dares have a sexual relationship with him. Which is a little troubling IMO, especially when none of the men get similar criticism. She can fuck who she wants.

Why Dany fucking Daario is such a big deal to some people I will never understand. I did post the other reasons I found it dull, but whatever. I don't mind that she fucks Daario. What I do mind is how much time is dedicated to him and the fucking, particularly when I find him an uninteresting character.

Two women are in the same place, they obviously have to hate each other. I just don't understand the additions of characters like Miranda and Ros. There's hundreds of characters in ASOIAF, why they feel the need to create their own is beyond me. Especially when it's at the expense of actual good characters being cut. Olly. No? Just me? Okay. I've done that -> too much already

At least they gave a backstory that makes his upcoming conflict with Jon make sense. I don't think we're missing out on a great character in Bowen Marsh not being present either.

Sorry but that's bullshit. This episode was a mess except for the Wall. Reek's chapters are among my favorites in the books, so it's not that I don't care about the storyline, it's that I DO care, and they're fucking it up. Don't even get me started on Meereen in this episode.... I wasn't talking about yours, you actually gave reasons why and I wouldn't say a 7 is a poor grade. There was a person in the thread who literally said they gave it a 5 because the episode spent a lot of time in Winterfell and they don't care for that storyline and didn't give any other reason why they thought it was bad. I gave my opinion on the episode in the episode discussion thread. I wasn't aware I needed to expand upon my marks out of ten in this thread.

I guess the appearance threw me off.
