Just because I was mildly annoyed that the numbers were in wrong order in the previous ones. Rate.

I think the episode is like a 7.5, there were good parts and some not so good. I scored it at 7 but I need to sleep on it to decided if I wasn't to move it to 8.

8 I would've given it a 9 if they hadn't split ToJ in two parts

7. Good episode overall. A bit too slow in places. Positives ToJ Olly dies Allison Thorne/Owen Teales acting on point Davos is the fucking man KL scenes were great North scenes were strong as always Varys' scenes were great Tormund dick shames Jon No Dorne Negatives Tyrion/Missandei/Grey Worm scene was awful Gilly A bit slow, though in fairness, it's episode 3, and it has to build up to the mid season ToJ ending was a cocktease All in all, a solid episode 3. Nothing fantastic, but it's going somewhere.

8 or 9. Right now I'm going with a 9.
I like Smalljon already. Harald is a little weeny dick, this one is a true northerner, though pls dont call roose a cunt
ToJ was pretty great, a shame we didn't see the ending. Howland got stabbed in the chest?
AND OF COURSE, FUCKING OLLY IS DEAD!

In an episode I am just going title It's All Jon Snow's Fault...my feelings were mixed. Voting a 7 for now...see how I feel in the morning...might be an 8 by then... What I liked: Tower of Joy, of course. Jon Snow quitting the Night's Watch. Alistar Thorne taking it like a man. Jaime Lannister being creeped out by Gregor Clegane. No more blind Arya. I was tired of seeing her get beat up. The scene with Ramsey and Umber was well done. Probably second favorite scene after ToJ. Small Council scene with Kevan and Oleanna sass. Love it when the Lannister twins get put in their place. Davos pep talk to Jon. "What if I fail?" "Fail again." Neutral: Sam and Gilly Varys with the prostitute Disliked: Dany with the widows Tyrion's pointless scene Majorly bummed about: death of Shaggydog. I need Nymeria to return. I need Kit Harington to be a better actor. Please don't tell me the only change to Jon is he's moodier than ever. Poor Rickon and Osha!

8. Some bits were boring, but Tower of Joy was great and Jon's scenes were fantastic. Fuck everybody in Winterfell

7 tower of joy carried the ep wish it was longer I really liked that they kept it pretty true to the books. It was also interesting to see how Ned wasn't so honorable. There were hints of this in the books with knowing that Howland helped him, but now we know how. Perhaps Ned decided to be ultra honorable after what happened here. Backstabbing is some pretty fucked up shit for a man of suppose honor.

In the books he at least said he would have died but for Howland Reed, I didn't like how they made him out to have out right lied to Bran, just a nitpick.

7 for the ToJ and the Tommen/HS scene. Weakest of the season so far.

It makes me wonder how much of that was D&D and how much was the actual truth. What he said to Bran was technically the truth, he would have died but for Howland, he probably just omitted the backstabbing out of shame. If indeed that how it happened but I have to think that was actually happened, in the book, will be pretty similar.

I always thought that's how it happened. Dayne was about to kill Ned and Howland stabbed him in the back.

I feel like he lied to the children about Rhaegar and Lyanna too though. I'm 100% sure they eloped together, and it wasn't a kidnapping/rape.

In ep. 302 Bran said Howland Reed saved Ned's life during the rebellion. But my guess is Ned never told him it went down like that.

They just didn't say it in front of Robert. Ned told his children the truth Robert believed, or rather wanted to believe.

There was some great stuff intermittently but the pacing felt a little off and they're doing the thing where they have too many storylines juggling at the same time, when really they could do with letting them breathe a bit. KL feels like stalling for the big blowup at the moment. Feel like next week is going to be pretty big though, so really it was fairly standard early season setup fare.
Gave 7 but could go higher, might actually rewatch this one.

The scene with her and LF in the crypt was before the show tonight in fact.

Which is why I said that Ned told his kids what Robert believed. Wouldn't be good if they knew and told Robert.
