It's great to be able to watch this as it airs around the rest of the world, such a relief!
Probably an unpopular opinion but I preferred the premiere, I think the ending of 01 probably has a lot to do with it (although this had a great ending too, which would have been better if it wasn't shown in the trailer already I reckon). Just seemed to give more space for everything - this felt rushed at times.
Also feels very weird to be saying that Dany's is the best storyline so far.
Edit: Guy in my avatar ruled this episode though. Kevan and Cersei close behind.

I'm really liking how they're handling Meereen so far.

Kevan and Cersei close behind. it has been surprisingly good so far, which is indeed weird. Becuase last season it wasn't that good. I'm glad they've worked on her Meereen arc and improved it. Yeah, Brienne and Pod (ffs he still can't ride a horse?) were really the only part of this one I didn't like. Drogon and Dany on the balcony hit me right in the feels. How could I have forgotten Dany and Drgon. That was beautiful and Emilia's face when she sees him is almost extatic. Good acting on her part.

Overall, I think it was a good episode. The pacing was faster than the premiere as well. The only part I didn't like was Brienne and I agree that Meereen is probably one of the best storylines this season so far, which is interesting because I didn't enjoy Dany's chapters in ADWD.

The look on Jon's face when Stannis offers to make him a Stark...perfect. I have a feeling this is the last time we will see Aemon before he dies...which makes me sad.
Also (unusually) loved the Dany scenes...they are definitely getting better this season.
Arya scenes...meh, not much there this time around.
I like what they are doing with Jaime, Bronn and Dorne, though. I'm glad that Ellaria is now the vengeful one. And soooo happy to finally meet Doran.
Oh, and mad props to Kevan...I think he just moved to the top of "My Favorite Lannister" list.
I liked this episode better than the first ^^

LOVED it!! LOVED it!! Shireen is... heartbreaking Sam's speech... three cheers for the team Jaqen speaks... in third person still. Yay!! DROGON!! Loved it, a solid 10 for me. Random observation, they still film Ayra as a girl, but there's no hiding she now moves and walks like a budding young woman.

I feel like Drogon somehow Knew Dany was upset, and needed to see him. The way he crawled down towards her like it's ok mom I still love you even if everyone else is pissed at you. Great scene.

Great episode. It wasn't a very eventful episode but there was a lot of great stuff and the acting was wonderful.
- I agree that Dany's storyline has been great so far. Loved the Drogon scene. - Jon's election was good, I like how they made Aemon the tiebreaker. - LYANNA MORMONT - Dorne was good but they didn't give us too much. - I didn't have a problem with the Brienne/Sansa scene but it wasn't anything spectacular. The horse bucking off Podrick was so good though haha. - I love Shireen so much. Fuck Selyse. If Shireen ends up being sacrificed, Im going to be so pissed. - Kevan isn't having any of Cersei's shit.

Who was LF talking about when he said his betrothal has been approved? I forget.

Jaqen!!! The best part of the episode for me. I'm such an Arya fan, though, I was disappointment she didn't have more air time. I thought for sure she would, given the ep title.
Guess they had to really condense the Jon elected LC scene, but it seemed anti-climactic for me. I did love it when Sam exposed Janos Blount's hiding like a coward in the storage room (with "a puddle of his own making" - Ha!) I second what someone else said about the look on Jon's face when Stannis first proposed he be made Jon Stark, Lord of Winterfell.
Liked Ser Barriston's frankness with Dany about the Mad King and what brought him down. Sorry to see her end up in such deep shit, even if I'm not a Dany fan. But loved, loved the scene with Drogon.
Think the arc with Jaime, Bronn, and Dorne will be good. Glad to see Prince Doran, and glad he didn't seem as "milk toast-y" as I thought he was in the books.
Qyburn taking the dwarf's head - "It could prove useful for my work." :lolgiggle:

The only issues I really had a problem with in this episode were Brienne's scene. Why wouldn't she tell Sansa she saw Arya alive? Pod should've also been with her, I imagine Sansa would've felt a bit more comfortable if she saw him there. (Though I see why she sent him away, but still)
Ellaria was a little much, but I liked seeing Doran, Aero and the Water Gardens.
