Notes added: Just after Dany gets seated on Drogon , just after she says Valahd, there is still spear sticking out of his hide. I wondered where the spear went. Slowing it down, when he does the head shake the spear pops out. - Seems Dany should have said Valahd with more volume, but dragons have keen hearing ! - I didn't look close enough, sure nuf, Dany's gown has a kinda sorta 'riding skirt', she wearing 'equestrian' Breeches and her ever present faux Dothraki boots. (What dragoneese for equestrian?) Start of the melee the SoH start randomly attacking spectators, er... why? Even in the top rows there are victims ... wasted effort! Why was Hizzy late ?

He's definitely dead. He was stabbed multiple times in the chest and stomach.

Yeah, and the HBO viewer's guide says that he died.

So there's no Meereenese leader left, the Sons of the Harpy are largerly gone, it should be interesting what the remainder of Team Meereen will do. I hope they don't fall into a 'OMG Dany is gone, what shall we do without her'-mode.

I think it will be cool to see the remainder of Team Mereen lead as a Council - Tyrion as political advisor, Daario as military commander since Grey Worm is MIA/still injured, Missandei as translator/ambassador to cities, Jorah as something too, but my exam shattered brain can't think what.

I think Jorah will try to do both advising and military command, and maybe he'll clash with Daario on that matter. My brain isn't working properly, so does anyone know if they've established the status quo of the relationship between Daario and Jorah in the show? We had these deep glances between the two in 5.09 before Jorah helped Dany to escape from the grandstand, but I can't remember anything else between them from previous seasons.

Also I noted Jorah touched Dany and then when in the centre of the Arena, Dany touched Missandei.
Will grayscale ensue? Or must you touch the infected area of skin, so Jorah's forearm?

Jorah is envious towards Daario, because he gets to bang Dany. That's pretty much it.

This had come up a lot but I think Dany would have actually had to touch the area of skin on his arm with the greyscale on it in order for her to contract it. So no, I don't think Jorah gave it to anyone during the Daznak scene.

So it looked like Drogon set most of the Harpies surrounding them on fire or smashed and tore apart a few. There was one small group to the opposite side of where Dany got on his back who were still throwing spears at him so there were definitely some harpies left alive when they flew off. My guess is once she took off, the remaining unsullied and Dany entourage was able to fend off and kill the remaining harpies or else maybe the harpies fled at that point - no reason to keep fighting when the object of their coup attempt has left the building, right?
I'm looking forward to seeing what's left now of their agenda next week but seems to me there's still got to be enough of the Sons of the Harpies left alive to still cause some problems for Dany's crew left behind don't you think? They are probably in danger since someone's going to try and take over with Hizdahr dead and Dany gone.

Yeah it's entirely possible one side or the other decides to go down there for reasons we don't know yet. The Harpies might think they're going to destroy the other two dragons since Drogon was such a massive problem for them and since they're both chained up down there, they can't really fly away or fight as well so they want to try and take them out ... but something happens or someone manages to set them free (Tyrion?) - which would be pretty epic.

Yeah I was reading Emilia's EW interview where she said she had to ride on a "giant green turtle" for filming and that sound pretty hilarious. I'm surprised she could keep a straight face at all!

Giving it a 9. I enjoyed the scene. Yeah, the CGI was a bit rough around the edges, but this was one of the most ambitious scenes using CGI in the show to date, and to do what they did even on a large tv show budget is quite extraordinary.
