I didn't enjoy the episode, but I'm glad there are people who do and kudos for them.
To be fair, I figure this is what's going to happen alternatively. Dany having a tough time in Westeros, the Starks gonna go through some cynical developments, etc. I'm willing to accept this kind of direction since it is GRRM's style.
The problems is it could have been better. There are so many things that could have fix the plot holes had the characters consider and brought it up, but that barely happen and none of the characters aren't straight-forward.
I'm hoping maybe Dany's developments pays off since the poor girl gone through so much. Dany may not be my favorite character, but damn she went through so much and this episode make my sympathize her. That scene where Dany desperately told Jon not to tell anyone - damn you can see she want to cry and Emilia did a fantastic job.

I’m just so shellshocked that this ending is really so much sadder/darker than anything I expected. I wouldn’t say the writing is the problem, because it’s being executed well enough, I suppose, but this is just some nihilistic shit. Hero spends the entire series trying to make the world a better place, country doesn’t accept her, allies turn against her or are murdered in front of her, the family of the man she loves conspires against her.... Maybe I’m just a pussy but this is a little hard for me to watch. You're definitely not a pussy, I found this episode extremely hard to watch too for exactly the same reasons. And I'm not even the biggest Dany fan (she used to be one of my favourites back in the day, but I've kind of fallen out of love with her over the years, ngl), and I still felt so much sympathy for her in this episode. She was done fucking dirty. Don't get me wrong, after what happened with Rhaegal and Missandei, I want her to burn the fucking city to the ground ... but I'm terrified to think what this might end up costing her, and of the depressing ending these events seem to be leading to. Maybe I'm naive, but in my heart, I was really hoping that we'd get an optimistic ending to the show. it's weird because what's going on here is typically my favorite part of the show. the scheming, the secret conversations and plots, the betrayal...this is literally the backbone of the show and my favorite aspect. but now, it's at the expense of someone who I like, so it's upsetting to see. but i honestly don't feel like i can fault the writers, just because, this type of thing, is so believably of this world. advisors scheming against their increasingly unhinged monarch...this is by no means uncommon for westeros. so, in that way, it's unfortunately just business as usual in their crazy game of thrones.

And here's what it looked like in S7: Is it actually KL? I'm assuming that was at some Lannister fortress.

The show has always had these kind of continuity errors. It's not a big deal but they can be quite funny sometimes.

Rewatching the episode, and Bronn's scene is just awful.
"Your sister offered me Riverrun" is so cheesy. All his lines feel like they should end with "see" or "eh" as if this were some cliche gangster film.

The scene with Jon and Ghost felt like it was written by someone with contempt for the fans. Like, why?

D&D are determined to make sure GoT fans suffer as much as the people of Westeros.

That tidbit would irritate me less if they hadn't brought up both Riverrun and Highgarden in the same episode. Sure tie up loose ends while you can, but why Dorne of all places?
Also I'm reminded that Arya stayed at the Twins for almost a fortnight and didn't do anything to help Edmure.
