Ghost already chomped on Rast and then killed wildlings during the battle last year, for something "darker" maybe he can kill Olly right after FtW.

It also states we'll see a "darker side of him" (Ghost) so I'm anticipating a nice go-for-the-jugular scene - yay! Go Ghost! First reply in comments: "I hope he eats Ramsay Bolton." That would be soooo awesome. And, unfortunately, I think Jon will learn of his parentage via Bran because of Checkov's gun.

I think instead of ending on a cliffhanger with Jon's assassination, he'll warg into ghost, and some crazy magic shiz will go down between Tree-Bran and Wolf-Jon in the coolest vision we've seen yet. Who knows, maybe Bran will even be inside Summer for this, and there'll be a wolf meeting. (Wouldn't it be so cool if we get to see Nymeria and her pack and Shaggy Dog too!?!)
I think Tyrion is a Targ too. And I think he will find out when his dragon suddenly kneels to him instead of roasting him.

Do you think there will be three dragon riders, and if so, who do you think they will be? (Direct me to another thread if that's more appropriate.)

(Direct me to another thread if that's more appropriate.) Even as a skeptic, I do enjoy reading crackpot theories and the evidence they come up with to support them. Since next season the three dragons will be fully war-dragon riding size, it would seem to be important to start plotting out who might possibly be worthy of that task - right? Hopeful.

They will be riding size! They already are, in fact. So exciting. I'm sure there are threads galore over on westeros pointing out evidence for Jon and Tyrion being Targs, some of it sensible, much of it insane, so I won't go over all that. I won't rehash old arguments about whether it's better fiction for Tyrion to be Tywin's son or not. Honestly, my feeling about the three riders has to do with the fact that one of the first things we learn about the Targaryans is that they conquered Westeros on three dragons ridden by Aegon and his sisters. I like the full circle aspect of Westeros getting conquered by three dragon riders again, only this time by Dany and her two "brothers" (actually, a brother and a nephew.) The only problem with Jon riding a dragon is that he's not in the right place. Who else IS in Essos who would love conquering Westeros on dragon-back? Arya. And of course, with wargs involved, all bets are off on who can control dragons, especially uber-warg Bran. So, I have my preferred theory, but I leave room for multiple possibilities, and of course the best possibility is that something happens that I didn't think of beforehand but that is perfect.

As for what happens to the third - I have no idea. I think it could die or be ridden by either Jon or Tyrion (Tyrion riding a dragon just feels, looks and sounds SO ridiculous so fingers crossed for Jon) in equal measure. But who knows, maybe he'll throw a curveball and Aegon will ride one.

Well I think the show 'aged up' the dragons a bit quickly, like they did all the "kids" from the books, haha. They're quite a bit bigger this season from the start but then again the timeline is sped up because of how much they have to cut out to squeeze everything in to one season worth of episodes so it makes sense they are fully grown already by the end of last season. The crazy speed of how fast the show is accelerating has my head spinning really! There's been very little hinting about other potential candidates for Team Dragon aside from Jon (of course) don't you think? I remember Brown Ben Plumm theories flying around asoif too but he's cut entirely from the show (so far), as is fAegon - so it's really a crapshoot at this point how they're going to play this out on the show vs. whatever craziness George has in store for the coming book(s).

Sounds like an awfully expensive last couple of seasons with dragon cgi. Having just Dany ride Drogon is one thing (which hasn't even happened on the show yet and we don't know how it'll look on screen) let alone 3 dragon riders.

Also, dragon riding is something that sounds cool in a book but will be really hard to make look real and not like riding the Luck Dragon in the Neverending Story.

I know. It's so weird to go from waiting literally years for content to waiting weeks. I do think there are plenty of hints that you could read as Tyrion being a Targ, especially in ADWD. And it explains why Tywin hated him so much and refused to give him Casterly Rock. It also explains Tywin's hatred of Aerys and why he sacked the city. If Tyrion is Aery's son, that means Aerys stole both of Tywin's heirs and spurned his daughter. Brown Ben Plumm? Really? Varys is the only other person I've wondered about being a Targaryan, and Faegon, of course, but I don't think either of them are.

Yeah, fingers crossed for Dany/Drogon being amazing. I want to see Jon ride Vis or Rhae on the show just to prove that can be done without being fireproof.

Yeah, I'm slightly worried about the dragon riding looking ridiculous. But then the Gringotts escape on dragonback looked awesome in Deathly Hallows II and the flying Nazgul of LotR looked good too. Obviously GoT doesn't have the budget of either, but.... I think they'll do better than the Neverending Story

All the CGI effects makes me think we'll get a partial 8th season.
Spring 2016- Season 6 Spring 2017- Season 7 Part I (8 Episodes) Spring 2018- Season 7 Part II (5 Episodes)
That would allow the showrunners a whole extra year to feature the heavy CGI battle scenes. Plus it would be huge for HBO subscriptions, as it would "sucker" each of us into another year. It also gives them more time to work on something new to grab an audience like us.

@ Mattpeto: Funny, I was just writing last night on another thread how I called up my cable company within the hour of finding out there was a GOT tv series, just to add HBO, never minding that my bill increased $40-something per month (had to add all the other channels in order to get HBO). I've kept it ever since, even though there's rarely anything else I watch on it. So, yeah, after 2018 I guess I'll be a little bit richer. Also funny regarding all the recent posts about how riding dragons will be handled. I had lunch today at a Thai restaurant, and they had a paper dragon, about 10 feet long, suspended from the ceiling. I kept sneaking looks at it all during lunch trying to imagine how exactly it would look. ETA: Guess we're way off topic of Jon's parentage by now. Oops.

It would not surprise me if D&D make it so Loras has a birthmark on his left arese cheek saying "R+L=J".

Well to be fair, it's hard to debate about Jon's parentage much anymore since they've all but let the cat out of the bag at this point. Long ago there were plenty of people willing to vehemently deny it and debate it with you, but now everyone's given up that fight it seems, haha. Now we just have to sit on our hands and wait for the show to get around to the reveal and hope they don't bungle it up horribly.
