Hey! Just to tell you all I'm not leaving the forums I'm just taking my time from everything GoT-related because I seriously hated this season so fucking hard, I do not want to start arguing with people who liked it (which is something that usually happens on the internet, people tend to not respect each other sometimes, and I do not wanna risk it) But I like this place and seriously like many people here, I will not abandon you because of the show. We still have the books after all!

That is such good news! This season is really gonna cost them a big portion of fandom. Good. I don't think I can ever look at the show the same again

Worst part is that this is the first show I am actually dropping. Never before have I done this, even when the plot of Fringe got way too confusing, or when I realized Lost stopped making sense, or when all hope was lost when watching Visitors (which got cancelled btw). But what they've done to Stannis this season... I have never seen a character getting that amount of shit on his head on any series. Funny enough though, is that it is impossible for the book character to follow his steps at the show: if he dies at the BoI, he will never order the burning of Shireen. If he survives to burn her, well, he will have survived the battle against InfiniteLifeHackRamsay and SerialKillerBrienne. Anyway, this isn't a thread about me or Stannis. I just wanted to say hi and state that I will not be leaving here that soon

By the way I am glad the show got high ratings. Maybe that way HBO will force them to go to 8 or 10 seasons, and then they will put in LSH as filler. If she is in I will obviously be back
But we all know that's not happening, it has been burned on our skins already. Oh crap here I go again

Wonder if Season 6 premiere will hit 9 million. Probably, if not higher. A lot of people will want to know the fate of Jon Snow. Nice. The ratings are definitely on an upward trend.

A some one said "Even a bad season of GoT is better than 90% of TV". I have to agree, I notice that as of now, I watch only news, sports and some Comedy Channel stuff and GoT and that's it, any other drama and comedy I usually turn of after 5 or so minutes, even if its good! Reviewing season 5 the most interesting episodes were 8,9 and 10. Episode 8 was the most surprising , big spoiler stuff about the Others (whose name cannot be mentioned on the show) and Miguel Sapochnik direction. Sapochnik directed E7 too, and the Gift was well done, but the 'Hardome' part of Hardhome was the best piece of work this year. Sapochnik handled both the whole narrative quite well and especially the action. This would have been a Neil Marshall special, I wonder if he was asked? I was waiting for Daznak's Pit , the biggest surprise in both Feast and Dance , and was pleased but now wish Sapochnik had directed it (or Neil Marshall) , David Nutter is a fine director but , I don't know, does he have a problem with action? I am satisfied but even with in budget a better composition could of been had.

Those are still the USA ratings, I notice there was a kick up , by a lot, in the British viewing, and we have never gotten foreign viewings for episodes 1-4.

I guess HBO is still counting for their 'over all' across-all-platforms viewings? Saw one figure from them , then nothing... I guess? Never saw the final piracy figures for episode 10 which seemed to be edging towards 10 million views, a real record! Wonder what goes on at HBO corporate? The big cheeses still talking greater than 7 ep? Movie stuff? They even got David Benioff to waffle before season 5. Funny to say season 5 kind of puts a damper , in my mind, on a season 8 , a major arc seems to end abruptly (I did not see that coming) and the Big Introduction of the Others jumps beyond GRRM. Suddenly things seem poised to converge radically season 6. I can see this ... George has loaded his shot and tamped it down, he's got to be squeezing the trigger right now ... and I think that's the delay in Winds of Winter... hard writing.
