It will have to wait until tomorrow, because I just realized that my copy is in some box somewhere (I've been moving house these last couple of days) and I can't find it.
I also changed the name of this thread, since this turned out to be more about FF in general.

You know what's awesome? Final Fantasy. Yes, it is. And I hope that the VII Remake will finally be my reason to buy a PS4. I mean, when it is released in 2022 right before The Winds of Winter.

I could watch that VII remake trailer everyday. Chills every time.
I wish I could remember what my reaction was when I saw it live. I was streaming it and after The Last Guardian I said nope can't top that and then this. I think I was in a stunned silence? Probably. I remember my heart pounding and being confused and praying it wasn't a movie lol.

We were obsessed with that game when we were younger (and frankly, still are ). A few weeks before the Sony press conference, I dreamt that my friend texted me a message saying that a FFVII Remake had been announced. I was very disappointed when I woke up. Weeks later, I woke up one morning to a message from my friend saying that Sony had finally announced the remake. I was utterly confused. I thought I was dreaming again, but luckily I wasn't. (Let's hope that my prophetic dreams about LSH are gonna turn out to be true as well )

I remember my heart pounding and being confused and praying it wasn't a movie lol. I watched the press conference with my boyfriend (who also loves FF) via live stream and in the middle of the night. When they revealed the FF7-Remake teaser, we both got really loud in our excitement, I think we might have actually woken up our neighbors. And I was probably crying, too. Normally, I would've responded with scepticism and cynicism to the news of a FF7 Remake, but I was really tired and also a bit drunk that night, so I was just kinda happy ...

I'm downloading FFIX right now and tonight I'll start playing it. I'm super excited. I haven't played this one in years and can't wait to see how I'll react to it. I mean, I think I was basically just a school kid the last time I played it. So much has changed since then. I'm gonna cry multiple times, I know it. EDIT: I found my PSone copy, but I decided that I want to play it on my PS3, so I'll just download it.

Doesn't PS3 play PS1 games? Mine does, last time I tried. I only remember because I downloaded 7-9 and then a friend told me it plays the disc and I tried it and freaked out because it played. But digital is good too you don't have to worry about discs.

The PS3 can emulate most PS1-games, but not all of them. Mine couldn't read the physical versions of FF8 and FF9 for some reason, that's why I had to buy the digital copies. By the way, if you want to know to what extent my crazy obsession with this series goes, I own more than one physical copy of several games in the series. For example, I have at least three copies of FF8 and FF9 each (some of them are still sealed), two copies of FF6, FF7 and FF10 (for PS2, I also own the remastered versions for PS3 and PS4). Naturally, I have also bought the digital versions of all games from both the US and european PSN-Store, and I own every Final Fantasy that is available on Steam (except XIII, because I kinda hate XIII). Yeah, I'm a bit of a nerd, when it comes to Final Fantasy.

I bought those games years ago just because I'm a super fan who needs to own everything that has the name Final Fantasy slapped onto it. I haven't seen them in years though, they're probably still in my parents' house somewhere, lying around ... gathering dust. Are you gonna play the german version of FF9?

But... why? The GBA had so many awesome, perfect games. I think I'm gonna play the English version, because I've always played the German one and I wanna see what the English translation is like. Especially with all that medieval-talk going on.

It's all broken now anyway, the only thing still working is my 3DS.

I love Vivi too. So much. FF9 spoiler: That's why the ending of the game breaks my heart. Poor guy. "I wish we could've gone on more adventures, but I guess we all have to say goodbye someday. Everyone, thank you. Farewell. My memories will be part of the sky."

We should post a pic of our FF collections. Maybe I'll do that when I go home.

We should post a pic of our FF collections. Maybe I'll do that when I go home. It would take me some time to gather all the FF related things that I own. I gave my PS2 (and all the games) to my brother, who now lives and studies in another city. He also has one copy of each of the PS1 titles. Most of my other stuff should still be somewhere in my room at my parents' house, I left it all there when I moved out, including the unsealed copies of the PS1 games, all the GBA games, the strategy guides, the soundtracks, and the few action figures I had. I'll get all that stuff, next time I visit my parents.
