Man, who else remembers when this game was announced at E3 2006 (please tell me some of you do)? That was 9 fucking years ago and it's still not out. If they're announcing the release date in March then that will be a whole entire decade since the project was announced before it will finally be released.

I do remember that, it was still called Versus XIII back then. And the worst part about this entire XV thing is, I played the demo and I really, really didn't like it that much, if at all. There's like absolutely nothing special about this game, it doesn't look or sound better than other current gen games, the gameplay is generic as hell and I absolutely hated the character design and the writing. I'll still buy it day one of course, but that's only because I'm a fanboy. Frankly, I have zero interest in this game. |

I just hope this franchise will make a comeback one day. The last good FF was not even a FF and was called Bravely Default. No, but seriously, the last Final Fantasy I really loved was FFX. That was released in fucking 2001. Final Fantasy is basically dead (at least to me). The FFVII remake better be good, though.

I hope they don't abandon the tradition of weird as fuck mystical acid trip final dungeons. Those are always awesome, and I hated XII for not having one. Anyway, I went on a tangent. Basically I'm not at all interested in this game anymore. It seemed way more interesting when it was still Versus XIII. I think they've neutered it. And I also hate that it's such a sausage fest. I usually stick with the female characters once I get to choose (as much as I'm not fond of XIII, Lightning - Fang - Vanille is an awesome combo) and I really don't think I'll enjoy playing with a bunch of dudebros at all. |

I just hope this franchise will make a comeback one day. The last good FF was not even a FF and was called Bravely Default. No, but seriously, the last Final Fantasy I really loved was FFX. That was released in fucking 2001. Final Fantasy is basically dead (at least to me). The FFVII Remake better be good, though. I am confident that it will. Just not with FFXV. Squeenix have been fucking about with this whole Fabulo Nova Crystalis bullshit since they started developing XIII (which was, what? 2004 or something?) and that has just been a black hole of BLERGH that they have been stuck in since then. But once the last remnant of that horror show is out (FFXV), they should be free to move on to something different and hopefully they go back to what made FF awesome in the beginning. Honestly though, we could so have been done with the FNC crap years ago if they hadn't decided to make 2 XIII sequels that did not need to happen. The ending to XIII was actually pretty damn awesome and the time travel nonsense and then apocalyptic crap just completely destroyed it. But they decided to shelf vXIII until they were done masturbating to CloudLightning and wasted so much time. |

You sound confused. Should they not release the game because you find it shocking people might...actually like it? Am I the only one in the world that likes it? The last good Final Fantasy was XII, imo. The story wasn't like super engaging or anything, but I really loved the gameplay and the characters (especially Balthier ...  ). I'm glad they included Esper at least and made them actually look like they ought to. Ramuh in the demo was awesome and I think they also showed Leviathan in one of the trailers. But yeah, I need to have female party members as well. There is nothing appealing to me in a party that is made up entirely of four different (male) anime stereotypes. This cutscene is awesome  Although it is also exceptionally irritating because it's unskipable, SUPER-long and just before you fight probably the toughest storyline boss in the game. |
