^Also I imagine Gwendoline does get quite a lot of fan-praise by unsullied and people at the cons she visits and people who twitter. Which probably represents a greater chunk of the fandom than those who are mad at Brienne.

Ew. No one loves this bitch for her actions. I think the actors live in their own little bubble. I don't think it was called for to call her a bitch because the show-writers wrote her differently than in the books, do you? I normally don't say much about your extreme dislike for D&D's plot choices especially in regards to Stannis because I know you love him so much but this one was a bit much. When others here have been insulting or name-calling, you or Fire and Blood have put them in their place for being disrespectful. Lead by example. I think by bitch she meant Brienne, rather than Gwen herself.

I was calling Brienne a bitch not Gwendoline. My comprehension is fine, no need to be like that about it. I knew you were calling the character a name but does it really matter either way? Uncalled for insulting because you don't like the story line or character's actions is just plain rude. Again, you have called other people on this forum out (in the LSH thread particularly) for bashing on Catelyn or namecalling LSH or others. You can't have it both ways. You went on to state you didn't think Gwendoline even realized how badly Brienne's story had been changed to something negative in your opinion so I was well aware of who you were talking about. EDIT: This was my initial sentence btw: "I don't think it was called for to call her a bitch because the show-writers wrote her differently than in the books, do you? " That should have been obvious I was referring to Brienne when I said "her" because I was talking about the character written in the books in the same sentence. My apologies if that was not clear. I was well aware you were calling the character a name, coupled with a gif of Gwendoline. Slight difference there and easy to mix up the actor with the character. Regardless, neither is deserving of name-calling.

I don't derail the threads when someone calls FICTIONAL character a name. I find you lecturing me 'plain rude', much less in open thread.

I have a lot of Unsullied friends and Brienne is one of the most loved characters among them. She is perceived as one of the last characters who is at least trying to do the right thing. It's ok not to like her and it's also ok not to like D&D's writing, but the majority of fans still like both. There's no denying that. And I would appreciate it if we stopped calling characters "bitches", when we don't like them. There are other ways of expressing dislike or criticism without relying on name calling. I don't care about Stannis for example, but I would never insult his character nor the people who wrote him.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion of what's rude as much as I am but I'm not the one name-calling. Take it easy.

Great, thanks so much for letting me speak freely on the board I started. That was just a request. It's your board, your rules. But I believe some of us would appreciate it if we all as a community adopted a different way of expressing criticism. I would never dare trying to mess with anyone's opinion and their freedom of speech. That is self-evident to me. I just wish for an open, but still friendly atmosphere which promotes discussions. Maybe it's me, but words like "bitch" are unnecessary and can fuel some bad blood.

I remove myself from this love fest then and take my unwanted presence out of this thread. Now please return to the topic.

I try not to insult others. I let the Hound do it for me.

It does look like Brienne was left hanging.

Well, I guess I'll just have to rewatch the Wolf of Wall Street...or find her in Toronto and make some hapless attempt to woo her despite the fact that she's attracted more to older, better-looking and wealthier men...Either or.

Saw the interviews over at WoTW , so they really had season 6 scripts with them at SDCC , to read on the flight back? Conleth Hill had apparently already read his. Seems risky , I guess there must be strict rules how one stores and reads those teleplays!

It depends when on Friday MakingofGameofThrones held those interviews and when on Friday the actors present read those scripts. Though whether they got them before the panel or not, it seems most of the actors waited until afterwards to read them anyways.
