If wonder if anyone in KL will ask LF what he's been doing in the time he's been gone? No none in KL ever knows a blessed thing about LF even after he has paraded Sansa and himself about the Eyrie and Vale. News reaches Castle Black about Dany but not Vale new over the shorter distances in Westeros!!

He wasn't parading Sansa, it was Alayne and I'm not sure how many people would care about Petyr hanging out with his niece in the Vale.

Is she marrying that psychopath in front of a Heart tree? Under the heart tree. I like to think that D&D are giving a nod and a wink to this board. But given its D&D, I think its probably the middle finger to Jeyne Poole fans... But seriously, if Alfie Allen pulls off a similar crazy scene to the one from moat cailin last season, this one will be awesome.

I did not read them first and as an old fart follower, I had to wait a looong time between them but when ADWD finally came out, I did go back and smoosh all the Arya chapters together for a re-read that was fabulous!

Even in the books I thought it was unlikely no one would have discovered or even know it was Sansa. Anyway no matter how long it took it would have found out that LF was implicated in regicide.

So Areo's got his cool weapon but so does his 'squad'. Does every soldier get a 'Oberyn' spear? With that uncoiling snake?
Spears, good for Dorne, but I guess the show had imposed the Snake motif? Unless it was in the books?

Well Oberyn's weapon of choice doesn't seem unique anymore.

Well Oberyn's weapon of choice doesn't seem unique anymore. Yeah, at least his armor is still unique.

IIRC Dorne is famous for how good they are using spears, didn't they call their soldiers spears? doesn't look like an Oberyn thing, is a Dorne thing

Yeah I'm taking a little exception to this - They just call the place "Dorne" and Sunspear is left out entirely it seems, except when Olyvar was pointing out Loras' birthmark being that shape which was just weird anyways, who was paying attention to that? They should be playing up the awesome sun and spear motif. Not the snakes because of the sand snakes or Oberyn. Show watchers don't have to be that juvenile.

Unless it was in the books? I dont remember there been a snake on the tower at sunspear the way its shown on the Opening titles, but maybe I'm wrong. And if not, I think a lot of fans associate the snake with Dorne thanks to Oberyn. It gives the Dornish a bit of character.

The snake or viper plays a significant part of the history of Dorne (as per The World of Ice and Fire book) so it's natural that most of the characters there utilize it to some degree. Oberyn was never unique in that fashion.

King Tommen beat me to it about 13 hours earlier Snakes do seem to come up in their history. The Conquest of Dorne ended with Baelor Targaryen walking through a snake pit to get his cousin Aemon the Dragonknight freed. But I think the show is sticking with this because it's easily recognizable. I am however puzzled why they'd keep Dorne on the intro as a city. They already mentioned Water Gardens and Sunspear in the show as cities, no?

Since Sunspear and the the Water Gardens aren't the same thing and there appears to be some wandering around throughout the kingdom, just calling it "Dorne" is probably easier for the audience.

Completely forgot about "The Wall"! It makes sense when you bring up the comparison.

I didn't even think of "The Wall" that's actually a very good comparison.
