One thing I did notice very strongly tonight was how...claustrophobic many of the scenes were. Maybe because I'm claustrophobic myself--my greatest terror is to find myself confined into a small space where I can hardly move. (I'm hyper-ventilating just writing this!!) Scene after scene--Tyrion in the wheelhouse saying 'I have to get out of here.' (Me, too!) Tyrion and Varys jostling their way through the crowded market, hemmed in, barely able to move, the brothel jam-packed, and Arya in the HoBaW--a big space, huge, but...closed in, huge doors closing and no way out. eeek!
Not a criticism at all, I loved this episode, but all that had to be deliberate, everybody hemmed in, closed in, surrounded, can't get free. And then of course, Jorah had to bind heavy ropes around Tyrion and stuff a gag in his mouth. *faints*

Yeah I can't really disagree with Cogman, but I don't know what to think about it yet. The idea of Sansa marrying Ramsay is insane.

Yer killin' me here Cogman! The ONLY reason I could stomach the book version w/ Jeyne Poole was because I knew it was not really Arya and that the character was not someone I was emotionally invested in. So Cogman basically just said "If we decide to do that horrible wedding scene, yeah, we've got someone you love ..." Weddings in GoT are starting to become terrifying occasions for certain now.

Well tonight's Royal Wedding was actually...light hearted.

Odd bit with the Red Priestess , what's the deal with staring at Tyrion? So R'hllor is now in with House Targaryen? Yeah I didn't get this either. Maybe I'm just forgetting. Or it's some sort of weird D&D hint about Tyrion being one of the 3 heads or some shit. Or it could be nothing.

What was with that girl hitting Arya?

She's a fellow trainee, a bit more advanced than Arya.

Not all red priests agree with Melisandre's interpretation of her visions.

Tyrion's drunken (loud) statement "We're going to meet the savior! You should have told me we were going to meet the savior!" was awesome. I'm not sure what the Red God's people would want with Daenarys but if she's a favorite of the slaves, a slave city seems perfect for campaign/recruitment, no?

I really liked the slight change in characterization that Pryce gave the High Sparrow on his introduction. In the books, even from the start, the High Sparrow comes off as stern and definitely on a mission. I'm assuming that Pryce is playing on the "wolf in sheep's clothing" act to ingratiate himself and manipulate Cersei to get what he wants. It will be fun to see him turn the switch later in the season.

I think you're right about the wolf in sheep's clothing thing ... as soon as she lets loose the Faith Militant, he has moved into position for checkmate.

And I don't care if it's not adhering to Tyrion's post-ASoS depression arc in ADwD, I'm just glad they've made him "mildly bored and drunk" as opposed to "full-on mean-spirited a-hole who can't stop obsessing over the bad stuff he's done."
While it's a bit of a cheat to have him bounce back to close to pre-imprisonment levels, I'd much rather watch this version of Tyrion than the moping prick Martin made him in ADwD. Add to the fact that they're fast forwarding his Essos journey and I think we have some very smart adaptation choices.

I love Pod so much, you guys. That's the kind of person Sansa deserves to be with, not fucking Ramsay Bolton. #PodAndSansa2016 I'm fully onboard this crack ship. I'm kinda annoyed that little punk Olly had lines but Edd still hasn't yet. Hopefully he'll get to chime in at some point later. Um, Tyrion no one cares that you used to be rich and now is not the time to advertise that your family is known for paying their debts, when their latest debt is the price on your head. He's just lucky to be caught by someone following the other Queen.

Guys, what's the maximum age Tommen could've been in s2 to sit on Cersei's lap without being a Steetrobin-level mama's boy? I'm trying to figure out how much he could have been SORASed with the re-casting. Between sitting next to Tyrion and Sansa at the Purple Wedding and not getting why he shouldn't laugh at the dwarf-jousting, and needing Tywin to explain sex to him at the end of their little talk, I think the baby-faced actor is playing a few years younger than his actual age.

The youngest I could believe him being is twelve or thirteen.
