Did the finale meet your expectations, or were you sorely disappointed?

Going to give it a 9, may change once I have time to mull it over. I can't remember everything that happened, so I'm hoping I haven't forgotten anything. Sadly I read the spoilers for this episode due to fear of getting spoiled when the leaks started coming out, so I anticipated the Littlefinger death and Wall coming down, I can only imagine how hype it was without knowing prior.
Pros - I loved the twists throughout the episode, be it the Litterfinger trial or the reveal that Euron had gone to Essos. - I liked that the Theon/random Greyjoy fight scene was basically from one of my favourite scenes in the Telltale game. - Litterfinger's death scene was well done. It was great to see him devolve to his usual tactics, trying to get Sansa alone to try and convince her, to pulling rank to finally plead for his life. I'm wondering if Arya will make use of his face due to the possible influence he could have. - The whole Kings Landing plot was well acted and wrote. Seeing Cersei have fear in her eyes for once was nice, and the dialogue between her and Tyrion was well done. Some more hype for Cleganebowl, especially the "you've always known who was coming for you" from Sandor. - Seeing Rhaegar!!! and his marriage to Elia (it could have been written better, very convenient for the sake of plot speed imo). I'm happy Jon is an Aegon - though I was hoping for Aemon. - The final scene seeing Viserion burn the wall down was fantastic. I'm hoping for a good aerial Dragon battle next season. - The vocal version of the theme over it snowing in the South was really nice.
Cons - Like I mentioned, the Lyanna/Rhaegar build up and reveal of the marriage was very shoddily done in my opinion.

I'm giving it a 9. LOVES Littlefinger's death scene Sansa and Arya's last talk Tyrion and Cersei's scene. Jaime and Brienne CLEGANEBOWL confirmation LIKES The Dragonpit sequence was wonderful I really liked Sam and Bran's scene. This scene was awesome but poor Viserion with holes in his wings DISLIKES I thought the pacing could've been a bit better, when we got scenes like Theon and the Iron Islanders it just dragged because I couldn't care less about them. Rhaegar is still an asshole.

I'm giving it a 10. There wasn't a single thing I disliked about it and so many things I absolutely loved, chief among them:
1. Dany and Jon's hot, sexy coupling paired with Bran's voiceover about who Jon really is. Dun-dun-DUN! 2. LF is finally dead! Good riddance, creeper! 3. Jaime walking away from Cersei. (Is this permanent? Is he going to join up with the Northern armies now? Oh, I hope so!) 4. Theon got his balls back! Metaphorically speaking. 5. Sandor's conversation with Brienne and the obvious look of relief on his face when she told him Arya was alive. 6. The Rhaegar and Lyanna flashback. I wish it had lasted longer, but I'm just happy we finally saw Rhaegar. 7. Holy shit, the wall! The undead! The undead dragon! That was epic!

Also can I just say how great it is that there's no dialogue leading up to boatsex.
My mans Jon came to FUCK. Dany knew what's up. It was ON SIGHT.

This was a good fucking episode. Loved the meeting at the Dragonpit. Seing all these characters interact was something else. Funny how even though Dany came down riding a fucking dragon, somehow Cersei still managed to steal everyone's thunder. The magic of Lena Headey. <3 There was so much I loved about it and the scene leading up to it, too much to mention it all, but it was flawless. That CLEGANEBOWL taunt, tho. Such hype, much confirmed. I could not get enough of the scene between Tyrion and Cersei, it was so damn good. So good. I wanted it to last forever. There was such a sincerity to it. They said all the things to each other I wanted them to say, it was damn powerful stuff, and a beautiful, humanizing moment for both these characters. Is it weird that I wished they would forgive each other? I'm not sure if that's even possible at this point, but I think that among all the bad blood, there is still some twisted form of love between Tyrion and Cersei, why else would they be able to hurt each other so easily. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but this scene gave me that impression. And I think that makes their relationship even more compelling. I'd say this was one of the best episodes for both Tyrion and Cersei. I was sceptical, but I'm glad she survived the season. And she continues digging her own grave. "I always knew you were the stupidest Lannister." AWWW, POOR JAIME! The scene between Jon and Theon was equally as powerful. I'm glad they adressed Theon's betrayal. "You're a Greyjoy, and you're a Stark." was a great line. I didn't dig the Winterfell stuff in previous episodes, but this was a strong way to finish it. Sansa gave me massive Queen in the North realness, and I fucking loved every second of it. So glad Littlefinger died like the cowardly little bitch he's always been. And of course the attack on the Wall was Hardhome-levels of epic and a great way to finish this season off. I'm glad they showed the wedding of Rhaegar and Lyanna, but man ... why did they give Rhaegar the same awful wig as Viserys? I always thought Rhaegar was to Viserys what Brandon was to Ned, but they made them look like twins. Obviously not a big deal, but this is not how I imagined Rhaegar to look like. Ah, well. It wasn't you who found that crucial piece of information though, Sam, was it? It was Gilly. Why you lyin? Not gonna lie, there were several episodes in Season 7 that weren't quite doing it for me, so I'm not sure how I'd rank the season as a whole compared to previous seasons, but this was absolutely brilliant. The tenest ten I've ever given.

WHERE.THE.FUCK.IS.GENDRY??? Probably recovering after his run. I imagine there'll be a Beric/Tormund/Gendry standoff, trying to take out as many as they can at Eastwatch next season (or a montage of them getting ripped to shreds).

Rhaegar had two sons named Aegon Targaryen. Weird. I wonder if Lyanna was petty enough to call him Aegon just because Rhaegar had an Aegon with Elia?
