I enjoyed Prometheus much more the second time around. The execution is highly flawed, but it does have an interesting and ambitious story. A lot more clicked for me this time around, including the fact that the snake-like creature was created by the black ooze evolving the meal worms in the cave. I now understand the significance of the scientists dating the hologram on LV-233 being 2000 years old. The Engineers created human beings then decided to kill them 'approximately 2000 years ago.' What significant event happened back then? Jesus' Crucifixion. So the aliens decided to kill us because we killed Jesus, who may have been an alien. This also helps explain why there is a strong theme of sacrifice in this movie, Janek, Holloway, Chance, and Ravel all willingly kill themselves to save others.
The biggest issue with the film is a lack of suspense due to weak characterization. The film would have been much more powerful if you cared for the characters, but David the android is the most compelling character in the movie.

This looks so fun! "I know everything there is to know about computers, ok. All the twitters, I know 'em." it's me! Cast is awesome. More Adam Driver, Daniel Craig in a role he looks like he actually enjoys, Channing Tatum (who really grew on me as an actor over recent years). Hillary Swank...

Netflix put The Babadook in the LGBT section and now it's become a gay icon. Aah, now I understand! I was wondering why some of the gay people I follow on twitter have been posting so many Babadook pictures lately. I like this.

I just found out that they made a movie based on 'Call Me By Your Name', and it's getting some amazing reviews. I read the book years ago, it was one of the first books that I read in English, and I loved it. I was still closeted at the time, so perhaps that's why it resonated with me so much. Unfortunately the official release date for the movie is November. Armie Hammer is playing Oliver though, which is just ... perfect. I can't even find an official trailer yet, only this short scene: The book has some beautifully written but explicit love scenes. I really like this one:
