David Ayer is apparently in negotiations to direct the Scarface reboot.
Suicide Squad was rough but I feel like this is much more in his wheelhouse.

Siggourney Weaver Get away from her you bitch Dude, watching one of the best movies in the series before Covenant was a mistake. I'm going to watch Prometheus before seeing Covenant next weekend. It's all about managing expectations.

I got a sense apof deja cut? i think so haha. But yeah, this universe has some tough competition, with Penny Dreadful still fresh in the minds of people who like the genre. I'll be shook because their Bride probably won't be as good as Lily.

I'm watching Promtetheus tonight. First time since 2013. stoneheartsrevenge did you see Covenant yet? Nope, going either Sunday or Monday night, depends on when my friend is free. Prometheus frustrates me so much because there is so much potential for a good movie there (although not necessarily as an Alien prequel. Think I would have preferred doubling down on the Engineers and humanity's creation instead of trying to make it an Alien prequel)

Prometheus does have a lot going for it, which make the flaws so much more frustrating. I agree that the film would be better off without the Alien connections. It felt like it couldn't decide if it was an Alien prequel or not, like they cobbled together different versions of scripts where it was and was not a prequel. I'm eager to see how I like it on a second viewing now that my expectations have been tempered.

I watched Beauty and the Beast again last night, and it was wonderful. I only wish they hadn't distorted Dan Stevens' voice that much. It works when you're watching the movie, but it makes it kind of impossible to enjoy the soundtrack on its own. I would love to hear him sing Evermore with his real, unaltered voice. Beauty and the Beast is now officially one of the highest-grossing films of all time, it made Disney almost as much money as Frozen and it is still playing in theatres, so it may even surpass Frozen yet. Fingers crossed. Hopefully, this will teach Disney to stick to musicals.

Well, Covenant was awful. I don't think it really works on any level p. It's not a good sequel to Prometheus that continues the story from that film. Nor is it a good Alien film - its a tired and less accomplished retread of the previous films, with none of the good bit and all of the stupidity. It's not scary horror; I never once felt that edge of your seat moment that a horror should invoke. Even the xenomorphs felt boring.Obviously it's a Scott film so it's visually stunning, but otherwise awful.
