Fml Even if Suicide Squad didn't turn out very well, I'm sure the makeup and hair stylists worked very hard, so kudos to them.

Queen Viola Davis just needs to get a Grammy somehow and she'll be an EGOT.

I can't believe that happened. I'm livid at several moments 1) that Moonlight couldn't enjoy their Best Picture win properly 2) That they actually let the La La Land people go through ALL their speeches before correcting it. 3) That Beatty and Dunaway didn't question their envelope a little more.

Somebody gave them the wrong envelope. Actors look pretty and hit their mark, the producers of the show fucked up big time. Another example of television's decline. Netflix will be streaming the Oscars in a few years.

I just can't believe they let three different La La Land dudes talk before they interrupted.

I didn't watch it live, trying to find the La La Land speeches online, I just couldn't help but laugh at the fuck up when I heard. The Oscars are a joke. Rich white people patting themselves on the back for being important. Every once in a while a movie like Moonlight wins after a year of people calling Hollywood on its bullshit, next year will be #Oscarssowhite redux aka return to normalcy.

What a delightful 'fuck you' to Lionsgate, easily the worst movie studio still in business today. They don't understand audiences, they take the safest route in prioritizing commerce over art, while butchering the home video market, and they refuse to hire minorities in leading roles. I'd be very pleased to see Lionsgate close its doors so a better studio can absorb their library.

In fairness to her, she obviously wants to find out who's won, Beatty doesn't read it for some reason, he gives it to her and the first words she sees are "La La Land" so that's what she said. The guys backstage were probably freaking out debating whether to let them finish their speeches or fuck them over

so much cringe ... I'm glad I went to bed and didn't watch this live
someone should have intervened the moment she read the wrong thing, instead of letting the La La Land guys go through with their speeches

Someone is getting so fired for this. I'm honestly kind of surprised they didn't just roll with it and give it to La La Land after all that.

Someone is getting so fired for this. I'm honestly kind of surprised they didn't just roll with it and give it to La La Land after all that. I didn't watch...but how embarrassing for Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, the folks of La La Land and Moonlight. Beatty, Dunaway, and La La Land Producers look foolish and Moonlight does not get to really enjoy it's victory. I agree, someone is getting fired. I expect it will be whoever stuffs the envelopes for Price Waterhouse Cooper. To me, most of the winners were not shocking. The only surprising moment was the huge gaffe for best pic. I thought there would be a best director/best picture split and it would be between La La Land and Moonlight. Reading some of the coverage today, it sounds like Viggo Mortensen and his son Henry were adorable at the Oscars. They said Henry was so proud and excited for his Dad and when the Best Actor was read, Henry gave his dad a kiss.
