Oh come on. We all know Davey isn't a rape apologist. Can we chill this thread down at all? Please? Well I hope not because that was a truly disturbing thing to focus on among much bigger issues at topic. All I am trying to say is that I felt disturbed by seeing media exploit a woman with - what I provided above - history of mental illness. And then I read 'I shame' her, if by going what is far less likely theory, she was just drunk at the event. No, to me it is the media shaming a woman which is something she precisely spoke of just six months ago. I felt uncomfortable looking at it, I felt uncomfortable seeing headlines deeming it as 'hilarious' and I don't think it's offensive I jumped to conclusion she had anxiety attack - which now I know she has a history of - instead of 'oh she got pissed and tried to steal focus from a co-star'. Well, there's no need to hope. We already know that about Davey. That's my point, that we should give one another the benefit of the doubt when we're having a difference of opinion. I'm mostly just annoyed that Winona's faces are getting more attention than that awesome speech. *shrugs*

Just shame on you Basil . That's all I have to say. Ignore what I wrote and bypass this, like always. Chris Pratt is hot so it's ok if he abuses pets, Winona is 'cute' when she has anxiety attack so let's laugh. Gross.

I watched countless ceremonies over the years and I don't recall anyone acting like this so I immediately thought this is something different than a person being drunk. Okay no offense, but those are nothing like Winona. Lawrence is known for mugging and the other ones look like genuine emotion (or whatever the fuck Fraizer is doing) I know we all disagree but as someone that works with people suffering from mental illness, that's exactly what she looked like throughout. I also think it's curious that her Stranger Things costars were making excuses like "Oh, we didn't run the speech by her." "She probably couldn't hear David." If she had a few too many drinks, wouldn't they just say that? It wouldn't be the first time co-stars have openly mentioned another being drunk.

I love those moments on Globes when no one even has to say it: Stone was on fire Bonus with Harrison on stage and Ed on 1:01

I don't know why we can't have a difference of opinion without personal attacks or shaming. The core group of posters here are all moral people with sensitivities about different issues. There is no need to attack one another.

Ask the person who always makes passive aggressive, impersonal posts judging a poster in the middle of posts about celebrities or movies underthehearttree.freeforums.net/post/209647/threadunderthehearttree.freeforums.net/post/204774/threadI was trying to end the subject with my previous post. I'm done talking about this and I'm done getting crap for the direction those conversations take. Above examples shows who does that.

You may have taken offense, but you weren't mentioned, so I really don't see why you took offense. However, you said Davey was a rape apologist and said "shame on you" to Basil. I'm sorry, but that's not fair arguing. That's being mean.

Just because he doesn't mention me doesn't mean he didn't target me. He did. Don't pretend otherwise. And I meant those things. I found what they wrote to be offensive and insensitive.

I'm done being attacked and lectured here, leaving was the right decision. I don't need this and I'm better off without this.

Also, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone won't be singing the nominated La La Land songs at the Oscars. John Legend will. I'm guessing it's because their live singing would be dreadful? If only they made that decision for the movie.

I probably won't stay up to watch this. My hopes/predictions before I go; Acceptance speeches will inevitably target Trump's presidency (which I don't think is a problem, btw) [prediction] Viola Davis gets supporting actress goddamnit. GIVE HER HE DAMN AWARD! [prediction] Ruth Negga or Natalie Portman for Leading Actress [Hope] Densely Washington for lead actor [prediction] Costume design for Jackie LaLa Land for Original Score LaLa Land for Original Song Jungle Book for Visual Effects Fences for Writing (adapted screenplay)
Holy shit wtf why the hell is the Lobster in this year's nominations what the fuck wasn't that 2015? Eurgh I hate that film.

I always forget how extravagant everyone looks for the Oscars. Took a quick look at the Red Carpet snaps on The Guardian live and wow, everyone looks incredible so far. Also, one "Hidden Fences" bungle already ala the Globes
