I'm still on episode 3 of Stranger Things  I finished. I'm absolutely captivated and completely invested in every character. I wonder when it will be back!?!? Apparently Season 2 isn't even in production yet. |

Apparently Season 2 isn't even in production yet. Glad you liked it!  So what do you think happened to Eleven? The ending suggests that she survived somehow but is maybe trapped in the Upside Down. I really hope they do a second season and bring her back. |

That was my interpretation as well, because of The Eggos. I'm not sure if she's trapped in the Upside Down or what. That would be so terrible, if that's where she is.  That place reminded me of Silent Hill at times. |

I started Stranger Things last night and we both really liked it. Really good 80's vibe (husband said it's like ET and Stephen King had a baby) and it's nice to see Winona Ryder back in action as well.

There is an article going around about the cult of Barb for Stranger Things that I accidentally clicked on (it's mega spoilery, so if you have not finished the show, don't go hunting it and making the same mistake I did). I won't link it here for that reason...but it's out there. I could probably name at least 20 people I knew in the 80's that had the Barb look. And the scene with Jonathan and Will listening to the reminds me of sitting around the record player and being introduced to the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Bowie by my oldest brother. We got up to episode 3 last night and the husband said, "This is the plot line of Akira basically but I bet a lot of people don't know what that is." I just  because he's wrong, lots of people know what Akira is...but okay dear... |

Well, I just finished Stranger Things. A few thoughts: I was initially very nervous about the cast being mainly led by children, as child actors are very very hit and miss, but they all delivered well. I think Dustin was my favourite of the main trio. I don't really care for Will. I would much rather he have died and Barbara lived. Though, perhaps he is going that way. Barb is the best. Winona Ryder was probably the best actress in the show. I'm on the El being alive train. Karen Wheeler gets the award for the most oblivious parent. I'm really pissed Barb died. She had so much potential, and I can't get over Nancy getting her killed. If she didn't go upstairs to fuck Steve, Barb would be alive and kicking. |
