Someone guessed elsewhere that the Mad King might have gone mad because he heard Bran. It occurs to me that a more likely scenario is that he heard Bloodraven. Maybe Bloodraven tried to warn him about things in visions. He could have accidentally screwed up Aerys the way Bran screwed up Hodor (but less severely, because of the warging.) Maybe Bloodraven saw a vision about the White Walkers coming and tried to warn Aerys about the need to prepare for them, and burn them, and those warnings drove him nuts and made him paranoid and obsessed with fire.I think you may have just hit the nail on the head @witchy . The thing that clinches it for me is the rapid succession of images we see flying past in Bran's vision. Every second of the Mad King and wildfire is then followed by an immediate scene of the Night King and the army of the undead. This is clearly a message. This was, at it's base level, the exact definition of "Ice and Fire" ... and Bran is clearly the key to bringing that message to the rest of Westeros along with his other siblings. Someone has to link Daenerys and her dragons to this because she will obviously learn very soon that the biggest battle is not against "the men in their iron suits" at all. The irony of her speech to her Khalasar seems lost on a few people here, truly. Why do you think they followed Benjen's warning to Bran about the Night King with Daenerys riding Drogon? It's to show the audience the clear link between Targaryen and Stark in the battle to come against the White Walkers. The Wildfire will likely become a far bigger key component than burning down King's Landing. As much as we would like to see Cersei burn it down, I think it's going to be far more valuable against the millions of undead on their way southward. The question is... who in King's Landing will support the cause that will be brought to them by the north? As we heard from lovely Dickon Tarly, most of the south still believes the White Walkers are just a myth. Agree it was message from Raven and now both Bran and audience have to figure out it's whole meaning. I rewatched this sequence as slowly as I could we've got: -White Walkers: nothing new, Hardhome, the Fist of the First Men, creating Night King, creating WW by Night King, WW killed by Jon; Valyrian steel&dragonglass hint-Wildfire: new one: Mad King&Jaime (past) and alchemists&wildfire spreading (wildfire certainly future vision, alchemists could be either from the past or the future); wildfire could be very usefull to "burn them all" hint -Deanerys: nothing new: newborn dragons (past) and dragon over KL(future, but we've already seen it in S4); Deanerys&dragons hint-Starks: nothing new: a lot of dead Starks, Ned, Cat, Robb ech... that one bothers me - why we saw only dead members of family? ok but clearly Starks are needed for something hint -ToJ: Ned and Ned&Lyanna scene(new one!): Jon hint-Bran: nothing new: his fall, ravens/crows, roots in this cursed hall/cave, edit:also Bran&Night King; Bran is the link hint.I wanted to write a summary , but I did not sleep through the night and I do not even remember my name anymore.

@alcasinoroyale Thanks!
In Arya's story we sholud also have scene with Jaqen preparing faces. So Arya should learn how to do that by herself and probably she'll use Waif face later.

Does anyone remembers a plausible leak talking specifically about the wedding in Twins? Because it seems to me that people just misinterpreted something here: maybe massacre like Red Wedding was mentioned, someone took it literally and associate with the feast in Twins (from trailers). Red Wedding was a shock, because in one moment many important characters died and the future of the whole family was wiped out. Doom of Tyrells and Sparrows IMO fits better and maybe someone just called it Red Wedding 2.0. DocWhatshisname said there's a Frey wedding. I trust him more than Truede, anyway. I can't find anything about Frey wedding from him on reddit;/

lol, how many weddings are happening at the twins? and where are they finding people willing to join that family and let walder host the wedding? Doubt the leaks are real bc if they were, I doubt HBO would pass up on the chance to include "I choose violence" in the promo. Small shit like that makes it unbelievable to me "I choose violence" scene has to be in the finale. The E6 will have a scene with Jaime too, so there is no room for killing sparrows. Tommen's conversion and probably unsuccessful intrigue of provocation Tyrell's troops to attack High Sparrow, will force Cersei to the definitive solution

Winds of Winter last scene: Bran exceeds the Wall and the camera will focus on the ice wall with a single, growing crack. Still seems too rush, I'm confused

6. Jorah & Grayscale / Leaving Daenerys
I just repeat my post, because I'm lazy and don't want to write summary and it's based only on what I think that should happen.
1. He isn't done for now and it will be lame, if he'll come back only to make some sacrifice to protect Daenerys. But I'm pretty sure that he'll die to protect her or maybe... sacrifice himself for Sam if Euron will attack Oldtown (IIRC Euron did it in books and he should do something in second half of season, and how he possibly could managed to catch up Yara and Theon? So maybe he attack Oldtown for... reasons? Raping, murdering, stealing... finding horne? Sam has one, but it's not the same one:P)
2. Greyscale can't be cured, but can be stopped for some time, but it'll activate sooner or later. It's death sentence.
3. Hope no more Red Priestess, we already know they're awesome. Maybe this time regular, oldfashioned medicine instead of magic? 4. I bet on E10 and Jorah's arrival in Oldtown and first episodes of S7 Jorah&Sam meeting, Euron attacking etc.

Hey guys. I saw this video on YouTube and it brought something to my attention that might shed some light on the sequence of events in this supposed massacre at the Sept of Baelor in 610. So first, we have this pic of Lancel that just came out: Notice the club he's holding has four spikes on the end. Next, the girl in the video pointed out something I hadn't noticed in a screen grab from the second trailer. Notice that the mountain has four dents in his armor in the exact same shape as the tip of the weapons the Sparrows carry. I I think we can assume that he got that wound in the "I choose Violence" scene, where Cersei and the mountain have a skirmish with Lancel, some other Sparrows, and Unella (?) outside Cersei's chambers. Since that skirmish is most likely the Faith Militant come to escort Cersei to trial, and since we know that The Mountain fights them and Cersei doesn't show up for the trial, we can assume that the attack on the nobles and the High Septon happens shortly afterword. Then, presumably after the attack across the city, Cersei and the Mountain with his new dent have some sort of standoff with Tommen in the Throne Room surrounded by onlookers. I think this proves that Tommen IS NOT killed at the Sept, and lends credence to the rumor that he kills himself afterwords. TLDR- I think Tommen dies after the Sept slaughter, not before or during. Aaaw, you're also watching Val's videos. She's the best I watched this yesterday, but wasn't so sure with all her predictions this time. But what you wrote is definitely KL scenario for E10. We're not just sure what exactly will happen in sept and how exactly Tommen dies, but a wildfire and suicide in the form of a jump from the window (fate takes revenge on Cersei for Bran ) are the safest options.

Yesss! And how young Wylis looked at him, like he understood what's going on, before his eyes turned white in this warg way. I'm happy that more people share my feelings, right after the episode reaction was more like that Bran did that and he used Hodor, and I've got the opposite impression from the beggining. For me it's more like Bran was bridge between Wylis past and present self, not Bran used young Wylis to warg into present Wylis (well at first time he warg into Hodor, but not at the second time).Yeah, this is most likely what happened. But I disagree with people who say that it was young Wylis controlling Hodor when he held the door. No, it was not. Hard to say who controled who, in the end they're two version of the same person. Past Wylis knew that he was experiancing his horrible future and present Wylis knew what's going on because he remembered that. I think that he also remembered and recognized Bran from his past. He knew that it has to happened, because it already happened in his past. It was his decision to make this ultimate sacrafice for his friends. Hodor was traumatized by that experiance, but was also aware of what's going on around him, he wasn't stupid.

That's why I started to think about that like this, in the first place. Kristian's Narin acting during Hodor's last moments had on me the strong impression that it was an Hodor's independent decision. there's also the way that bran shows no reaction to meera's last commands or signs that he's experiencing what hodor is doing. he's just watching wylis, who definitely is responding to meera's commands and hodor's actions. Yesss! And how young Wylis looked at him, like he understood what's going on, before his eyes turned white in this warg way. 100% exactly the same; even if it's not true, I'm going to think about that this way That's what Kristain Nairn said he thinks and I think he made acting choices based on that. Hodor usually looked pretty emotionless when Bran was in control but you could see the determination and fear on his face as he held the door. That's why I started to think about that like this, in the first place. Kristian's Narin acting during Hodor's last moments had on me the strong impression that it was an Hodor's independent decision. Oh, and the young boy, who played Wylis/Walder/Hodor was also more than great. Anybody remember his name?

He didn't really have a choice... That's mostly true, but I think at the very end, Bran was no longer inside Hodor, and it was all Hodor (past and present) feeling the trauma and continuing to hold the door out of love and duty. What do others think? 100% exactly the same; even if it's not true, I'm going to think about that this way

Some more random thoughts after second rewatch: -The Meereenese throne room has NEVER looked better. I don't understand how they never did a night scene there before, but it looks amazing, as if it was a new place. The room was completely R'hllorized with all the flames. Beautiful. -There is some real tension when the Night King meets the Raven. That room is CHARGED. And there's a brief moment where the Night King inspects the Raven's face. He probably realizes just what the Raven is doing. -The fact that the present-day children of the forest live in such a creepy, shady place makes an awful lot of sense now that we know that they themselves were corrupted. The idea of this subterranean hellish "forest" is brilliant in retrospect. -The Waif doing that head tilt when Arya jumps up creeps me out. -Speaking of lighting, the contrast between the sickly House of Black and White and the super-colorful play is amazing. Two opposite kinds of 'acting' (FM and the troupe). Damn, Jack Bender knows what he's doing. -This has to be one of the strongest episodes thematically. On the one hand you have characters like Bran, desperately wanting to get lost in their own private little world. On the other hand you have people like Kinvara, who is focused on the "big picture" to a worrying extent ( "all terrible things happen for a reason" and she doesn't seem slightly bothered). And in the middle of them you have Hodor, who is experiencing both at the same time This quote might as well be a summary of the episode: - Sansa and Jon are trying to reclaim Winterfell, because of awful things that happened to them (Sansa/LF talk reminds us of this) - Arya came to Braavos and is learning how to become assassin, because she saw the death of her loved ones; or perhaps more like Eddard' death had to happen to inaugurate the course of the entire story ( theatre play reminds us of this) - Daenerys is marching on Meereen with a new army (which IMO is the first step to return to Westeros), because of... well almost everything what have happened to her; and Jorah is going on a "mission" (I think he'll meet with Sam and create Wolf-Dragon alliance), because of his illness and faithfulness - Varys and Tyrion are in Meereen now and helping Daenerys, because of terrible events of their past (Kinvara/Varys talk reminds us of this) - Bran and Hodor.... eh, it still hurts, but you already know where I'm going. All these terrible things had to happen to characters get there, where they are now. Priestess definitely sees the whole picture. In this context, episode's title "The Door" can symbolize not only the idea of predestination in the Bran's arc, but it applies to all. Door as a symbol of the inevitability of certain events in order to make the characters on the right path (I hope for a greater purpose).

I've had this idea that Margaery will use her alliance with the Sparrows to influence Cersei's trial. With the King's ear and the Sparrow's support, she may be the one to suggest "hey guys, maybe we don't let Cersei have a trial by combat...just an idea... " She's clearly able to turn Tommen against Cersei. That makes perfect sense according to what Jonathan Pryce said in an interview that there will be some intrigue (more than one) taking place behind his back, in the immediate vicinity.

Doesn't she see the Wall in the season 2 vision? Yes, but the Wall will be already fallen by then. She also sees Drogo. That doesn't mean that Drogo is hiding beyond the Wall with Rhaego. It occurred to me right now, that maybe behind the Wall (its remains) she will meet with Drogo and Rhaego, in other words, will die there. But if it comes to that it is only during the final battle and in its place fit all three Winterfell, Trident and the Wall.

Oh yeah. It's exactly that I've been watching stuff online without this nonsense for more than a decade now Jesus... I really hope your cartoons and other kids' shows had proper dubbing at least, otherwise I'd feel really sorry for your childhood. Imagine watching Powerpuff Girls with a single deep voiced dude dubbing for all the characters, I'd be traumatized I feel that I have to stand up for lectors. In this version you can hear the original audio and a voice that translates the dialogues. The actors' voices are only a little bit quieter than the original version and clearly hear the whole spectrum of their emotions, etc. While watching the voiceover quickly blends into the background and is sufficiently neutral to the original soundtrack dominated, and at the same time does not sound artificial and impersonal. Being a voice actor is considered in the acting community for the more difficult part of the profession, and being a lector is specific, because at the same time you need to express emotions and to be neutral, you have become a part of the background. I did not even realize how the voices of those few lectors are close to me and are part of everyday life, until I saw a video of an interview with one of them (T. Knapik), it was mind-blown experience I had it made straight, because you know, be suspected of one of those shitty kind of dubbing in TV, it is almost...insulting We're not crazy like that And dubbing in cartoons is brilliant, Shrek was probably better than the original: P

Genius, symbolic and haertbreaking foreshadowing made by Martin 20 years ago and repeated in show (I posted it in discussion about E5, but it fits here as well): The first words spoken TO Hodor in the series: T/L*: Hodor!H: Hodor? T/L*: Help Bran down the hall.* Maester Luwin in books
