^ Ha, that's hilarious. It's funny how non-readers interpret things differently, and sometimes don't remember names or characters at all. A few of my friends are always like "the one guy...what was his name?" over and over again. But there are a lot of characters. But more so in the books, which I tell them all the time.

I still remember how my mother always called characters in S1 just e.g. "The fat king", "The fat king's sister", "The fat king's sister's brother", "The main character", "The main character's girly daughter", aso.

That is so cool you watch the show with your family, my boyfriend still haven't even started the show, my Yorkie hates the dragon noises and leaves the room and my mother's only contact with the show is seeing Stannis on my computer screen

The only downfall with my family watching the show and not reading the books is they get super pissed at me when I refuse to spoil things for them.
My mom still holds The Red Wedding against me because she said I should've warned her.

My mom still holds The Red Wedding against me because she said I should've warned her. Perfect opportunity to troll. "Mom, you'll like this episode! Edmure's wedding is really pleasant and Robb works out a deal with the Freys to help bring down the Lannisters! It's going to be awesome!"

I wasn't that mean, but I do remember telling my friends, "oh, nothing crazy this episode, but you'll want to watch it because once all these formalities are done, Robb, the King of the North, will make his way down to battle with Joffrey. It's going to be amazing!" Boy were my work mates surprised. They might have hated me. But hell, even I was surprised by the stabbing of a pregnant woman. I mean, holy seven hells.

You cruel bastards I didn't say anything special before the episode, but when they were building up to the Red wedding I was like. "Ah, finally.. a nice moment in Game of Thrones. Look how happy the Northeners are!" They knew I was a book reader so this comment made them relax a bit more.. then the Freys closed the door..

My sister's budgies seems to find them exciting, the guinea pigs scary.... and our tortoises don't care. Perfect opportunity to troll. "Mom, you'll like this episode! Lol, so many nice people here My mother always wants to hear spoilers and asks me for some (and I LOVE to spoiler stuff!); the problem is then, that her memory is really bad, and so she sometimes forgets if something already happened on the show, or if I told it to her - and then she accidentally spoilers something for my sister, but does/remembers it WRONGLY (which is often quite funny XD) My father basically doesn't watch TV at all (I think he's sometimes a bit annoyed by us -my mom, sister, me- being such couch potatoes, while he's a sport freak). And my grandma's only contact to GoT was once when she was visiting us, and sat at our couch exactly when we wanted to watch 4.02 for the first time... So the only GoT scene she ever saw was Ramsay hunting girls and feeding them to his dogs -.-

My favourite Mom/Sister/spoiler experience was when my mom wanted to know so much if Jon or Jaime (I can't remember who of both) survives S3, but my sister sat beside her and absolutely don't wanted to hear the spoiler. So my mother told her to close her eyes, and I should just nod or shake my head silently. And so my sister closed them, my mom: "Is Jon/Jaime still alive after this season?", I nodded completely soundless - but then she, super-loud: "YAAAAAAAAAAY!!!" My sister wasn't pleased (I remember a Death Stare)

I wish I had some Unsullied friends to watch with. All my friends who are interested in it have read the books, and my family still thinks fantasy is for children

All my friends who are interested in it have read the books, and my family still thinks fantasy is for children Wait until Season 6 and show them a video of Roose flaying Ramsay alive and then ripping his own face off, revealing WW face and then taking Ramsay's face for his own, with this playing on the background: Yes, it is going to happen.

I love how everyone is expecting LF to reveal some master plan to destroy the Boltons from within.
Boy, they're gonna be disappointed when they realize his "plan" is basically "let's keep our fingers crossed that Stannis will win"

His plan is going to be that much more screwed now that he coincidentally got summoned back to King's Landing where he's really going to have the fight the clock in order to get in and out before the big marriage word gets circulated down there. He's probably not going to want to be around Cersei when that happens.

Because someone who the audience likes need to be there in Winterfell so that D&D favorite Theon could have his redemption arc

Is it just me or did the leaks cause a complete stall in hype. Before the season premiered I was refreshing the spec thread at westeros.org constantly. After the 4 episodes leaked barely anyone posts anything anywhere anymore.

After the 4 episodes leaked barely anyone posts anything anywhere anymore. I think so, the excitement is not there because many people have seen the episodes probably multiple times. I think they excitement will built up again after the show episode 4 and everyone is on the same page of knowing nothing, a la Jon Snow.

It's just the most people have see the leads and nobody is allowed to talk about them. So there is nothing to speculate. It will heat up once we get past the first 4 episodes.

Fortunately this is the last week before we get back to being completely in the dark again, and so will our endless speculation be resumed Crazy how time flew by.
