This is for people who already saw the screeners.
Let's leave episode discussion talk in subboards for the episode to when they actually air.
Please talk about episode 1-4 before their air date here.

Loved 'em. Particularly Roose, Qyburn, Jonathan Pryce and of course Jorah's epic reappearance.
EDIT: And I can't forget Carice's ep. 504 loveliness. I don't remember if those lines she said are from her attempted Davos seduction in ASOS or her Jon-seduction in ADWD but she sold them beautifully.

Imdb crapped itself over these and there are threads like 'Stephen Dillane deserves an Emmy' Mother of God

Loved 'em. Particularly Roose, Qyburn, Jonathan Pryce and of course Jorah's epic reappearance. I liked Roose, saving grace of the Winterfell scenes. Gillen was better than usual I thought as well. And Qyburn was properly creepy. Anton Lesser is one of the best castings. I thought they were okay, I liked Cerseis scenes sand The Wall the best though the election was pretty sloppy. The Stannis/Shireen scene was brilliant as billed, Shireens actress really nailed it. Hope Barristan is alive cause it would be a shame to wait until killing him to have just showed his badassery for the first time on the show Honestly knew pretty much everything from the spoilers the other day.

I just watched the titles because I don't want to watch the episode in such low res, but urgh. How much of a flop are D&D to skip over the Eyrie in the titles when people were actually there, only to start including it once those people leave. smh. B-|

Oh I really liked Jon and Mances scene in ep 1. They brutally under utilized Ciaran Hinds. awesome actor. Kit was as good as he's been yet in the first four eps imo.

These were some great episodes.
I loved all the scenes at the Wall and I agree, the Stannis / Shireen scene was absolutely brilliant. Most of Meereen was also pretty great, but man ... I hope Selmy survives. I'm not sure what to think of Arya in Braavos yet, this is probably one of my least favorite storylines in the books, but I did enjoy her scenes in the show so far. King's Landing was amazing for the most part, and kudos to Lena Headey, what a brilliant actress. I admit, I was a little bit worried about the whole Tommen/Margaery thing, but it wasn't as weird as I expected it, it was actually a cute scene. Very little Dorne so far, but I really liked the guy they casted as Doran Martell, he has such an intensity in his eyes.
There was also disappointment, of course. Brienne's journey is frustrating without the promise of Lady Stoneheart, although I did like her scene with Podrick at the camp fire. Also, the Sand Snakes were absolutely underwhelming, at least from what we've seen of them so far, which I admit isn't much. Furthermore, I'm not sure why they chose to portray Cersei so relatively soft and much more reserved than she ever was in the books, whereas Margaery often comes across as bitchy and manipulative, in fact more so than Cersei. I mean, I know where they're going with this. They want us to feel sorry for Cersei, but I'm not sure if I like this approach.

Prob Stannis/Shireen or Jon/Mance for me. One scene I thought was hilarious was Cersei sending bumbling Mace Tyrell to Braavos to meet with the Iron Bank (along with Ser Meryn who Arya will certainly kill later in the season). I thought the end to four was well done but I'll be disappointed if Barristan dies no lie. And yeah the Sandsnakes were kinda lame but they were on screen for like 2 seconds. Ellarias complete character turn around from the novels was a little jarring for me, idk all the Dorne stuff was pretty meh for me tbh ( I expect that will get worse when Trystan/Myrcella enter the stage) Siddig did seem promising in his scene with Ellaria though.

Just watched episode 1 and 2 and I don't feel guilty about it. I've been paying HBO for years for their service so they got their pound of flesh from me already.
Both episodes were very good, although now they are sort of blured together into one giant episode in my head. One thing I'll say is that I thought they did a good job with the election,TV viewers will totally feel the thrill.
Oh and Emilia's acting is already much better this season.

I thought this just from reading pre-reviews, but now it rings more true.
If your best storyline of an AFFC/ADWD adaptation is Meereen, you're doing some amazing things but also some things just horribly.

Even if I didn't know poor Barry was in trouble this season it was kind of telegraphed by giving him extra stuff to do. Everytime shows give someone who's usually in the background more to do the clanging of doom begins.
I really enjoyed all the Baratheon 5,even Selyse. She seemed to get fleshed out a tiny bit more, even though she's not like her book self it was nice to see a little bit more of her. I'm not that keen on Jon but now he has more people to play off I found him tolerable.
I do love Shireen and even if something bad happens to her I fully intend to headcanon my way out of it. I loved her and Gilly and how even Sam was surprised how early she'd learned to read. I hope we get to see more of her cleverness and how she probably know a lot more about things han people give her credit for. I'd love her and Sam to have scenes in the Library discussing the books. Maybe she finds out some stuff about whats beyod the wall.
I actually really liked Brienne and Pod as well, she seemed a bit more like the Brienne from the books and before season 4. She was softer and showed her inner softness more.
My opinion on the winterfell stuff hasn't changed its not going to ever work for me. Even if I love Roose and find him brilliant to watch its ruined by the storyline being so crazy to me.

Yeah Winterfell is to bizarre for me to even properly comment on lmao. I thought one of the worst scenes was with Tyrion and the whore right before Jorah snatched him.

If your best storyline of an AFFC/ADWD adaptation is Meereen, you're doing some amazing things but also some things just horribly. Emilia's actually getting more screen time than I expected, which I'm thrilled about. So, I won't complain about that part. Adam Feldman (Meereenese Blot) said in reddit that he had gotten the screeners and when talking about Dany's storyline, he completely downplayed it and minimized it. I i think Sue the Fury had a much better review.

Thoughts on episode don't even know where to post it. im going crazy atm First off i've only watched episode 4. Second, all the things that were just...cringe/ewwww: The faith militant. just no. The sand snakes. OMG i didn't want to be right about them. but i was. ellaria being the bad person just doesn't suit her. the melisandre/ jon scene was so cringe. i hated how they had to make carice show her boobs?? like i get the feeling even she is perplexed about it. WOW was not expecting the Tommen/margery scenes. surprisingly soap-operish...The good scenes were Stannis/Shireen, Jon/Sam, Danaerys/Barry, Barry/Grey worm fighting, Bit iffy on the Sansa/LF conversation, i can see they are now potraying TWOW sansa so im glad grrm released that chapter. But i really effing hate that sansa doesn't know anything about ramsay! like wasn't she the most popular girl and knew all the gossip- like i'm sure she would know about the bastard of bolton. soooo cringe at the LF and sansa kiss. All in all this brief glimpse at the season has allowed me to get an idea of which storylines i will like and which ones i wont. I really enjoyed tyrion/jorah and cersei's council meeting as well as the north scenes and danaerys. Bummed Arya wasn't in ep 4.
