The Riverlands are going to be back in S6.. or atleast the Freys. What on earth will happen without LSH? Will Jaime and Brienne meet there? Something to do with Sansa (Lemonheart)? Will the Blackfish help Edmure escape?

I can tell you right now that whatever it is, it's something that will piss me off. I think it would be really cool if Sansa would take LSH's part and start hanging random Freys. Cmon she has the right clothing style as well! The possibility of Sansa becoming LSH on the show is a scary thought. D&D might make it happen..

I assume there will be somekind of revenge against the Freys, by either Blackfish or BWB. Someone has to save Edmure after all? And Tullys have to reappear. Thoros too. I think Richard Dormer (Beric) has said that he won't be back anymore but I guess they could recast him. After all he only appeared in 3 or 4 episodes.
But I guess we'll see Brienne walking around with Meribald and then meeting the Hound, who brutally kills her and then he heads for KL and we get
CLEGANEBOWL!!!

I think there will be some form of Red Wedding 2.0 in which Walder Frey remarries and the BWB crash the wedding. The books were talking about a Frey wedding and had some members of the BWB set up to infiltrate it. The show was talking about Frey needing a new wife. Bolton dropped the heavy hint that Blackfish is going to be a problem for Frey back in 3x10. I do think that Blackfish will be part of the BWB because where else would he pop up? But I don't see Gendry being back with the BWB because they sold him.
Sansa might be involved with the Riverlands goings on. With no supplies, dangerous deserters running around in the north, and Ramsay tipped off about Jon at the Wall, it does make sense for Sansa to flee south. And she is angry and ruthless now. But she's not a general and the BWB has ample leadership between Beric, Thoros, and Blackfish. I don't really see them taking her seriously. So I kind of doubt she ends up with the BWB - what would be the point?
Brienne and Pod probably encounter the BWB on their way south, either with Sansa or after giving up on Sansa. Boltons might claim that Sansa died when Stannis attacked, rather than admit that Sansa ran away (Boltons even have a handy dead woman for the funeral service). Hearing about Sansa's death would hit Brienne really hard.
Littlefinger left the capital at the end of season 5 with the stated intention of mustering Vale troops to take Winterfell before winter. His action was royally sanctioned since Cersei viewed both the Boltons and Stannis to be traitors. I suspect that Littlefinger's love for Catelyn makes him want to kill both Freys and Boltons - even if his love was twisted and selfish, it still probably extends to wanting to murder the people who killed her. With his army passing through the area, he could also contribute to whatever happens in the Riverlands.
Maybe Jaime has something to do with the Riverlands, but my guess is that he probably is going to go back to Kings Landing and stay there. If Brienne is going to die for Jaime in the books as a turning point in Jaime's character, Myrcella's death might get him to the same place.

We know that Septon Meribald will probably be in, but who will visit him? Why would Brienne ride south again if Sansa is still in the North (and has no reason to got back to the Riverlands)?

Unless CLEGANEBOWL is in and that's the beginning of the HYPE, I don't think they will show him alone there without another major character passing through.

My predictions are rarely right, mostly I just like to speculate and it seems to annoy you guys less than it annoys my husband. Blackfish's primary goal would probably be rescuing Edmure. And Blackfish wouldn't be invited to the wedding, so he wouldn't be violating guest right. But yeah, it would be a dark thing for him to do. I think LSH fans are going to be inevitably furious with whatever decision the show makes because LSH isn't going to be included in the show. But I think the BWB will probably still massacre the Freys.

Nothing too significant here, but on topic nonetheless. GRRM posted this on his blog yesterday: ...Tobias Menzies, who played Brutus on HBO's ROME and Edmure Tully on GAME OF THRONES, is especially noteworthy in a double role. (I just hope we'll be able to get him back, if and when D&D decide to return to the riverlands).
I found his comment interesting for three reasons: #1 - He's hopeful he can get Menzies back, but unsure due to his availability with Outlander #2 - Returning to the Riverlands is 100% up to D&D, which probably means it's not vital to the end game. (Note: That doesn't necessarily mean it's not relevant) #3 - He said "hope we'll be able to get him back" - When he uses "we", I think this dismisses people that think GOT is fan-fiction or GRRM is offended with the direction of the show. Nope, GRRM is very involved with this show, even if he's not writing screenplays. It's a reminder that killing Stannis, Shireen, etc - is just as much as GRRM as it is D&D.

D&D said it was George's idea to burn Shireen, did he not?
D&D also said that they give GRRM the outlines of every episode and he provides his feedback. I think he's still very involved with the show.
I get the Stannis love, but I also think he was a better character in the show (until Shireen). He was a complete dick as a husband and father in the books and went around telling people "Ned Stark, was no friend of mine!". Losing him was a blow, but not as much as losing Robb/Catelyn IMO.
