A quibble: I thought the interaction between the twins felt a little weak tonight. I'm not sure if it was the writing or if they've just gone through too much grief to have a fresh approach to it anymore. It might seem better on a second viewing when I'm less amped and can better appreciate subtleties. Well I think the problem is that for most of us, this relationship has long ago run it's course. By now Jaime should have left her and I prefer how it was in the books for this one - he did not come when she summoned him to King's Landing and she's alone from the Walk of Shame onward. Having him there with her now is just dragging out the inevitable. I'm sure the show has a meaningful 'break up' for them coming but it's gone on too long.

I also really liked how they made a call back to Maggy's prophecy from the last premiere.

Well yes...but bringing a mans child into the world is much more of a choice than being the Champion of Light. If she doesn't want any children, I'm sure she can arrange to have no children lol.

I'd have to watch the scene again, but I thought it was her saying she couldn't have children (she mentioned the Sun rising is the West...), not that she didn't want them.

Hell yass. I knew it! I called it that Brienne would get sent to look for Arya, that's the first thing Sansa's going to have her do! That's how she'll end up in the Riverlands.

She doesn't specify. She just says she won't have any children, not until the sun rises in the west....

I think we start to get a sense of what Liam Cunningham meant by this season having a "weird" vibe to it.
Everything at the Wall had the threat of the supernatural hanging over it, from the very first shot to the last.
Arya is in a creepier place emotionally than she's ever been. And there's Bran and Euron coming up to amplify the "weird" side of things.
It was one of the first episodes ever where mystery was a much bigger factor than politics.

Fuck, not a single decent torrent yet. I have HBO Go, but it's so atrocious and trying to rewatch a specific scene is horrible, as every time you rewind you reload the whole video and the image quality is shitty again. I'd rather download a pirate copy. I've already paid for the damn thing, so what's the fucking problem?

I'm rewinding bits and re-watching bits and there's not a single hiccup on it. Not sure why HBO Go is so terrible but their on demand service is great, I'm glad I signed up and it's worth 15 bucks a month.

Every time I try to go back a minute or two it takes like a whole minute to load, and when it does the quality is like 240p, and it's my connection is fucking 30 MB/s. Anyway, one of the torrents I was downloading finally sped up and now it's complete, but the 720p one is still slow as fuck at 10 kb/s

I just remembered that Alexander Siddig interview way back in June when he said he expected to be in 5 minutes of season 6. He didn't even make it that far

Please keep the discussion to the show itself, not other members or sites of the fandom. I just had to delete a ton of posts. No need for it.
