What do you guys think of the way the battle is described in general? Some people on reddit are saying that it sounds too cliche from the leak, but it sounds pretty tactical and interesting to me. I'm just worried about the Starks being outnumberted 6 to 1, that's just stupid. Littlefinger pulling a Tywin and saving the Starks is gonna leave a bad taste in my mouth, but eh it's not a big deal. I think the guy was just exaggerating and he probably didn't remember everything. Do we know how Tormund dies?

I think we all kinda know it's not gonna be a happy ending. They did kinda hint that Baelish knows about Lyanna+Rhaegar

I'm fine with that as long as he dies.

Just give this guy all the credit and it all feels much better. IIRC he filmed in August and November. I guess Bronze Yohn will advise Jon and Sansa in S7.

And Royce is actually loyal to her rather than a self-serving weenie like LF. But generally the Knights of the Vale finally fighting doesn't feel cheap to me. They're an amazing force and they've been kept out of battle for the whole of the show and books precisely so that they can make their impact at the exact right time narratively. Which is ep. 609.

you can't deny lf's credit for getting the kotv involved in the first place. that will only be worth it if he dies soon.

Am I allowed to give a little stick to the show (and possibly GRRM) for solving every problem with a surprise cavalry attack? I would love to see a battle where strategy is heavily involved and not solved by a surprise outside force.

Tywin at Blackwater, Stannis at the Wall, now LF at Winterfell. I think Battle of Ice in TWoW will be quite strategic.

We don't need another eleventh hour army save. I hates it.

The shieldwall, the archers! Now I would love to see Jon actually thinking about the battle instead of just rushing in. Something like.. bookStannis in the battle of Ice.

That's just stupid.

It cheats the Starks of true victory and it's Littlefinger ffs. This dude and his spoiler is fake. It just has to be. I'm not buying it.

Starks shouldn't be outnumbered that heavily. Perhaps Stannis actually wins battle of Ice in the books? It is the entire point of LF's plan from S5. Of course it's happening. It has been prepared in S5. Unless the Valemen arrive earlier, but it's still going to be LF's plan.
