Well, deadline for average rating was yesterday. I will do this every week and then see how the forum ranks all S6 episodes.

We should lock the poll after three days then. That way it doesn't mess with the statistics.

3 more people voted and 2-3 changed their votes. So now that the poll is locked, this is the definite average rating for 6x01:
Average rating: 7.56 | 41 members voted.

Idk about changing votes either. Wait until you've done a rewatch to vote if you must, but I would think it would still be roughly the same number. Idk how you can drop 4 pts after a rewatch but whatever...

Things I loved:
1. Cersei's progression from joy to realization. 2. Sansa and Brienne vows. 3. Davos and Edd, and general tone of Jon's murder aftermath. 4. Mel's confusion and reveal. 5. Marge's small hint of realization there is a way out. 6. Dany's spunk. 7. Ramsay's peculiar style of mourning.
Things that detracted:
1. Sansa's small glance to Theon for his opinion of Brienne's desire to serve her. Why would she do that? She has clearly somewhat forgiven him but there is no reason why she would need his approval. 2. In general I did not mind the Dornish scenes at all, but I am left confused on who is in charge in Dorne. If Ellaria simply takes over as ruler when she has not got the sligtest claim that will really bother me. 3. Roose is being a bit dumb giving Ramsay too many reasons to murder him. 4. The meekness of opposition to Thorne in the Watch hall. Some of them should have been harder to convince. Maybe even a small brawl with Jon supporters hopelessly outnumbered and beaten up. That would have felt more real and upped the tension for the fight with Davos, Edd et al. 5. Jamie saying they would take back everything that was taken from them. That makes no sense. How do you take back dead children? 6. Empty streets of Meereen. It didn't feel like a city. And then suddenly at the end they saw a huge fleet burning. Too much contrast in scale between the urban scene and the size of the burning fleet.

I oddly didn't find that awful Theon is all Sansa has in this moment and he risked his life several times before that moment so it made sense to me she would look to the only person she considered ally in this moment

I actually really liked that little gesture, it was small, but it had huge implications for these two characters. And it made perfect sense to me why Sansa would value Theon's opinion, after what they have been through together. She's probably more than just somewhat forgiven him, at this point she probably trusts him with her life. They both saved each other in a way, she helped him remember who he was, and in return, he saved her life and helped her escape from the Boltons, he was even ready to sacrifice himself to give her a chance.
