I know it probably won't happen, but getting a tiny glimpse of Bran and The Max would still be a nice surprise. Maybe to close the episode.

There's so much to cram into 50 minutes I had to really think about the sheer number of cliffhangers we had in the s5 finale and how on earth they were going to resolve them all and move the story forward in such a short opener. I have to guess we probably won't see Bran in the premiere but we can be excited about what's to come for him!

So with the new giant bomb trailer dropped today --- does anyone's predictions for 6x01 change?

Not much other than them discovering Jon's body and moving it to the room we've seen - Davos and Mel talking - that's not very much ground to cover. I think it may be the cliffhanger some were saying/spoiling or maybe that was the fake... that 6x01 ends with the mutineers about to break down the door...

Yeah, the Davos vs. mutineers scene is definitely from the premiere.

You know, I've been thinking more about this... what if the opener to the premiere is some sort of vision for Bran but it's purposely somewhat misleading so the audience doesn't quite know what's happening? This would be a nice way to introduce newly changed Bran and Bloodraven instead of a cold open to one of the other plots that were left on cliffhangers last season. My only reasoning for Bran not being in episode 1 is the severe time constraint of 50 minutes and tons of material needing 'opened' back up with all they left us with in the s5 finale. It's possible we don't get resolution to all of those in episode 1 though. Not much talk about episode 2 yet hehe.

I'm 100% sure that 6x01 will open with this scene: Well I'm pretty sure it will as well - but it's always good to keep open the possibilities of them throwing us for a loop and not being too stuck in a rut with what we are certain is going to happen. A lot of what we know come from leaks but a lot of it's just still speculation and we didn't get one single legit leak from the premiere so... But I'm almost certain they'll do a cold open of Jon's death. *edit: PS ... maybe this scene we see of Jon laying dead in the snow is from Bran's point of view? That would combine both into a cool and yet heartbreaking intro!

So we're getting the same 7 storylines as the season 5 finale.

My guess would we get between 4-6 minutes per location with 8-10 minutes at CB. That would be more than enough room to cover the ground needed in each location in addressing 510's cliffhangers and in giving us a little extra up at the Wall.

The recap's emphasis on Loras suggest imo that this scene will be in the premiere too, stuffed as it already seems. Also in KL the recap made sure to show Kevan's reaction to Cersei post-WoS (and, tellingly, not Pycelle's) which, as planned out as these things are, hints that he'll show up in 601 as well. This still being among 601's promo photos probably means that this bit of Dany being whipped whilst marching occurs in the episode as well. It's a different scene than her arrival at Vaes Dothrak despite being shot at the same location because Dany's hands are tied here and they're not when she arrives in Vaes Dothrak. Which she likely does in 602. EDIT: It also looks like Jorah and Daario finding the ring will occur before we see Dany for the first time because otherwise I think we'd have seen Dothraki stuff (from s1) in the recap. My guess is we see Meereen and after Daario and Jorah and their mission is referred to we cut to them and when they surmise that she was taken by Dothraki THEN we finally cut to her sitting by the water.
