Seriously, there's no x-files thread? We're going to have to re-open the discussion. I'm going to be watching all the seasons again. So far i have seen season 1 eps 1-15 This is a place you guys can also discuss the new 6-episode mini-series ! THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE. We can also fangirl/boy over Mulder and Scully.

"Pilot" "Deep Throat" "Squeeze" "Conduit" "The Jersey Devil" "Shadows" "Ghost in the Machine" "Ice" "Space" "Fallen Angel" "Eve" "Fire" "Beyond the Sea" "Gender Bender" "Lazarus"
All these episodes have been brilliant. I can't say which ones were even my favourites. The pilot is an amazing episode, the chemistry between Mulder and Scully is just there. I think the better episodes were; Deep throat, ice, space, conduit, the jersey devil, eve and Beyond the sea. I'm surprised by how genuinely frightening the episodes can be. I think because a lot of Mulder's reasoning is based on his scientific facts that make things appear real.

The X-Files was a very intelligent show. It didn't talk down to the viewers, in fact it dared you to keep up with it, which was unusual for the time. The realism of the procedural aspects grounded the show and made it easier for viewers to accept the supernatural elements. Considering how far out a lot of the monsters/aliens are in the show, it's amazing that the episodes were executed so well and the viewers bought into it each week.
Beyond the Sea is my favorite episode from season one, Brad Douriff's performance is amazing. Squeeze, Ice, Lazarus, Young at Heart, Darkness Falls and the Erlenmeyer Flask are also favorites of mine from season one. The crazy thing is how Season 2 is even better than the first.

Yes i loved his performance! I think i liked this episode because its one of the first times (other than the pilot) we see Scully break down emotionally because of her father. And she makes that decision at the end to not hear what his last words would have been, even though she's been seeing visions of him the whole episode.

Watching The Calusari and I forgot how creepy the kid is in this. Also the opening of this episode is pretty dark.

Mulder and Scully work together for 10+ years, relationship built on mutual respect. Five books/years into GoT and Jon/Dany haven't met, I'm not exactly feeling butterflies here.
Watching F. Emasculata, a great season two episode about a viral outbreak in a prison. Some great grossout moments and a guest appearance by Dean Norris. I'm watching this imagining it as the early stages of the Zika outbreak.

I really want to re-watch some of the old seasons now. I'll probably revisit them soon.
Hands down my favorite X Files episode was "Home." It terrified me as a kid but I kept watching it over and over. It always stayed with me.

The entire series is on Netflix. I didn't get to see tonight's episode. I will watch it on my Friday night, which is Wednesday.

Watched "E.B.E", "Miracle Man" and "Shapes"
All decent episodes. Thought the first 15 were much better. E.B.E did have the introduction of The Lone Gunmen. The misleading by Deep Throat was interesting, and his back story is interesting, want to find out more.

Mixed feelings about the new episode, but as Carol said in Confessions, I loved the old school horror feel. Will shut up so as not to spoil.
Bec, have you been introduced to Krycek yet? I need to rewatch because the timing of everything is confused for me.

The new miniseason hasn't been as good as the old ones. Was this fourth one also "Monster of the Week" themed?

Thought the Trash man episode was the best of the new season by far. Finally some true horror! Overall I've been quite underwhelmed but that one felt more like classic X-Files.
Excited to see my girl Lauren Ambrose in the finale next week. Loved her so much on Six Feet Under.
