Thought the Trash man episode was the best of the new season by far. Finally some true horror! Overall I've been quite underwhelmed but that one felt more like classic X-Files. Excited to see my girl Lauren Ambrose in the finale next week. Loved her so much on Six Feet Under. Isn't next week the next to last one? I think there are two to go. Oh, my mistake. You're correct.

Watched "darkness falls" and "Tooms"
Wow these two episodes were fantastic. Darkness falls was scary, and its the first time where Mulder and Scully were in danger of actually dying. We also get to see how much Mulder cares for Scully as she lies unconsicous at the end. Tooms especially was creepy as, the return of Doug Hutchinson was amazing and he did such a great job of portraying this inhuman creature. Nutter did a fantastic job directing this, i like how we got to see the world from Tooms' point of view.

The Trash Man was fucking brutal. This episode had everything. It was scary, Mulder's dry humor was on point, and Scully's story hit me in the feels. This was all in the first five minutes, too. Usually Mulder was the one going through personal tragedies and crying, while Scully was getting tossed down stairs and fighting men twice her size. It was sad to see her grieving. I like how the new episodes are doing the MOTW thing but still developing the characters. Also a nice homage to Home, also written by Glen Morgan, when they played a classic pop song during a grisly murder.

Mixed feelings about the new episode, but as Carol said in Confessions, I loved the old school horror feel. Will shut up so as not to spoil. Bec, have you been introduced to Krycek yet? I need to rewatch because the timing of everything is confused for me. Krycek!!!1

Skinner was great in Toom. But nothing can compare to Fox.
