A fantastic retrospective on the incredible work Peter Jackson did with The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit:

Panahanahahahahaha, Peter Jackson doing an incredible job on the Hobbit I liked the trilogy. It's not as bad as people think it is. The extended editions are even better and I seriously love An Unexpected Journey.

The extended editions are even better and I seriously love An Unexpected Journey. I think they're all quite mediocre, to be honest. I've seen them all in the extended versions and I had a good time doing so, but I really don't have any desire to ever watch those movies again. LotR on the other hand I could watch every week, that's how much I love them.

I love it with all my heart and I have watched it countless times. LotR will forever be my favourite movie trilogy of all time, though.

I say it everytime: they're fun movies. Could they have been better? Yes. Should it have been a trilogy? No. But I wanted fun in Middle-earth and I absolutely got what I paid for.

Into The West is incredible. "Death" is one of the most fascinating and difficult topics for me (for very personal reasons) and I love the hope that is conveyed through that song. The hope for an afterlife. It's funny how many religious texts don't touch me in that way, but this stupid movie and this stupid song do. And all will turn to silver glass.

As I said before I'm an awful nasty book purist but still love the music from the films. My favourite it probably Twilight and Shadow

The 3rd Hobbit film was kind of a disappointment to me, but damn:

Children of Hurin might be the most depressing book I've ever read.
