Ah Ginny Weasley, that one character that the books made awesome little by little, making her go from someone so in awe of Harry she can barely speak in front of him to a kickass teenager that takes no bullshit, and who was sadly butchered in the movies. Her character progression disappeared, and her romance with Harry was sudden and so undeveloped I don't understand why they included it.

Enjoy your little fantasy.   In regard to Bonnie Wright, to be fair, she had nothing to work with in Harry Potter. I don't think she's a particularly good actress, but the fact that Ginny was such a bland character in the movies was because of bad writing - even a mediocre actress like Wright would've been at least passable, I think, if she had been given good material. |

Anytime someone prefers Gambon over Harris I just can't understand it Because that makes no sense. Harris was the perfect Dumbledore. Its like the character was written to be played by him, lol. Though to be fair, I'm not sure I can picture him having a stand-off with anyone. |

I just realized that I can sing from memory almost in its entirety the Sorting Hat's riddle from book 1. I haven't read book 1 in about 8 years (I'm going to do a re-read soon) and yet I can still remember that.
And that's an HP moment for ya.
ETA: I don't like the way the Sorting Hat sang the riddle in the movie. The passing was wrong for me.

Though to be fair, I'm not sure I can picture him having a stand-off with anyone.That was my problem with him, I loved OotP but couldn't imagine Harris dueling with Voldy in the Ministry, or as younger Dumbledore in the HBP flashbacks. A younger Richard Harris could have done all that, yes, but not the one in the last years of his life playing Dumbledore in the first two movies. |
