I don't think I can honestly vote unbiased. Forget the Shireen scene? 8. With it? Not 8 at all.

I gave it an 8 Dorne was actually okay, they are setting up the Mercy chapter and Dany flew away and then Stannis burned his daughter.

The Shireen stuff was hard to watch but the rest of the episode was top shelf. Daznak was amazing (the stupid reviewer girl undersold the climax again). Also, Dorne was decent and made sense and of course Meryn doesn't die off-screen, the reviewer was just a moron who can't figure out what's going on in a scene. So Braavos was great too, especially with Mace being Mace. I don't know, 9 I guess.
The finale should be balls out amazing.

6/10
As horrible as it was, Shireen's burning was done well, so I will take just two points for character assassination. Dany's flight was pretty good too, but it was a bit too short. The Dorne scenes were alright, but nothing happened there. I just couldn't understand Ellaria in the end being a completely different person. And I also didn't understand why Jon had to enter Castle Black from the north of the Wall instead of landing on Eastwatch. And what happened between Arya and Meryn? It didn't look like she poisoned him, so he must be back in episode 10. Worst episode 9 so far, even without the burning scene.

I actually liked the Dorne scene and Trystane joining the small council.

I gave it an 8. Had it not been for that horrid scene in the middle my nerd-boner wouldn't have been able to give this episode anything less than a 10.

My stream died between Meryn going into the brothel and Ellaria talking with Jamie. Did something important happen in this period? (I can't rewatch right now.)

My honest vote is a 9. My only 'deduction' is that while the entire episode was great, it was a bit uneven in parts. But I can't think of anything I absolutely disliked (in quality). Obviously, the sacrifice was emotional (I'm a mother myself of a little girl), so I can't pretend that it didn't strike home with me...but I think they pulled it all off flawlessly. And Dillane was amazing...he has acted his ass off this season, and I give him props. A lesser actor could never have done this character justice, but he has. Bravo. I honestly can't wait for Davos' reaction.
The dragon scene...holy shit. Holy. shit. Brilliant. My favorite scene ever with Dany...even better than the birth of the dragons. And Jorah throwing that spear...hell yes.
So, there's my honest review.

I gave an 8. To be honest, the episode didn't feel like an episode 9. Meereen was amazing and I also liked Braavos, The Wall, and Dorne. Even though I don't agree with Stannis's decision at all, the scene with Shireen burning still was very well done and great acting by all of Team Dragonstone. Idk, I was expecting more and it just didn't feel very climatic compared to last week.

5, my lowest grade ever for an episode.
Dany's stuff was fine. But Stannis was bad and Dorne was awful. WTF is Doran's plan, he's giving back Myrcella and giving them Trystane as an hostage, what?

I imagine Doran has a bigger plan but he's probably not going to lay it out for Jaime. You don't have the scene with Ellaria and the Snakes swearing allegiance to them without him utilizing them in some manner later on.
Also, Trystane is now on the Small Council in Oberyn's place so I'm not sure how he could be thought of as a hostage. I imagine Doran has a very good reason for installing him there as well.
We haven't heard the "Fire and Blood" speech yet. That's where he'll let everyone in on what he's got up his sleeve.

For me it's a 9. Lives up to the tradition of a shocking episode 9, and that says a lot considering we already knew everything that was gonna happen.
Dorne was surprisingly ok, the Wall was well-delivered (exept for the mandatory Olly deathstare). Braavos was a good set up for Arya's finale.
Team Dragonstone scenes were a climax of tension that exploded in one of the most vividly devastating scenes of TV history. Painful to the point of crying and full of horror, yet amazingly executed and acted.
Mereen's whole part was just pure awe. Nothing more to be said.

I wanted so badly to be wow'ed. Daznak's Pit was good, Drogon was wonderful, and Dany riding Drogon was fantastic. But the Shireen thing, though handled as well as could be, was just so awful, depressing. It was hard to get out from under that, and it just clouded everything else. Dorne was good, I really like Doran and am glad to see him be much stronger than I think he was portrayed in the books. But - it was just a downer for me. I wish it were otherwise. I gave it a 7, which is so, so rare for me to do. I'm usually a 9, or 8, or 10 person.
