The nomination ballots are out there. Here are the episodes they submitted for the technical categories and which actors submitted. I'm really surprised that Alfie Allen didn't submit. www.emmys.com/sites/default/files/Downloads/Makeup-Hair-2015Ballot.pdfSupporting Actor - NCW, Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington Supporting Actress - Emilia Clarke, Natalie Dormer, Lena Headey, Carice Van Houten, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams Guest Actress - Diana Rigg (507) Writing - 510 Cinematography - 501, 504, 506, 508, 509 Directing - 506, 508, 509 VFX - 509 Hairstyling - 510 (This one confused me because the submission mentioned Margaery and Sansa's dark wig) Non-prosthetic make up - 510 Prosthetic make up - 508 Costumes - 510 They also submitted for stunts but there wasn't a specific episode. edit: oops I put the wrong episode for vfx, it's been changed.

Lena and Dinklage will get the nominations by precedent.

I think Lena does have a strong chance of winning. I know she didn't get nude for the WoS, but her emotional performance was Emmy worthy.

This will be her best chance so far, but I imagine her burning down KL material will be pretty strong too be it in s6 or s7, so she'll able to go for it again then, I think.

No Stephen Dillane or Alfie Allen? nope. Neither of them had a hope in hell of getting in but I thought they would have at least submitted Alfie.

No Stephen Dillane or Alfie Allen? I really think Dillane could've stood a chance at it too. The Emmys are more likely to consider people who've already been nominated and he was for John Adams however many years ago. But, alas, HBO prefers to give the chance to their posterboys.
It'll end up being Dinklage, mark my words. It'll always go to Dinklage. GoT won't win anyways though. Aside from maybe Lena.

But Peter wasn't so special this season... sigh.. No he wasn't. Of HBO's submissions Kit is the most deserving (I never thought I'd type that sentence back in the early days of the show btw) but I'd say Dinklage has the edge on him because they like to get the previous nominees to come back.

But Peter wasn't so special this season... sigh.. like the Emmys give a fuck. A lot of name checking happens at the nomination stage (just ask Ellen burstyn) which will be enough to get him in. If his submissions continue to suck then he might miss but I would be gobsmacked if he missed this year.

He would have had a good chance for best guest actor but, you have to be in less than half of the episodes to qualify for that. He was in 5 so he just barely missed the cut off.

I love me some NCW, but there is NO WAY he should be submitted this season. That third spot would have been better served by either Alfie Allen or Stephen Dillane who had more screen time and were not in the worst plotted part of the show. NCW was wasted this season. If the Emmys did not nominate him for season 3 where he was stellar with a great storyline, he's not getting nominated now.
Natalie Dormer did not have enough screen time to warrant a nomination. I wonder if she submitted herself again like she did for the past two years.

EW.com was pushing her hard for an Emmy nod for season 3, in retrospect that was the season where she had the most material to work with. The thing is Natalie and Carice (or their representation) have to pay for their nomination efforts themselves. HBO definitely submitted Lena, Emilia, Sophie and Maisie. Lena is their best shot for a nod. Out of the males, Peter probably is the best shot because he's been nominated for every season so far. And there is no Aaron Paul to nominate in best supporting actor this season.

So they announce the nominations tomorrow. I assume it will get nominated for Best Drama Series, Best Supporting Actor - Dinklage...Although I would rather have Harington in the spot since Dinklage didn't really do anything emmy worthy, and Best Supporting Actress - Headey. As for Writing and Directing, the only episode I could see being nominated is Hardhome, but we'll see.
