You guys remember how last year they released those 'for your consideration' thing before the season was over and the finale was up for make up and prosthetics? Any leaks about that this year? Also who do you think may be nominated this year? I bet Lena, since she already got in once

I think they did that right before the finale last year. Between 9-10 maybe.
As for the Emmy's I hope Lena gets a nomination. She's better this year then last, I think. And with the walk? Good chance. I feel like Peter might not get one he hasn't done anything major...

The TV Academy usually releases a big list of all acting submissions after the deadline. It just goes through each category and lists the actor that's been submitted, their show and the episode that they chose. We should get that in a few weeks I think!
Peter will get nominated again. I thought he might be able to contend for the win again this year, but I'm not so sure, his travelogue felt pretty light.
I think Emilia might sneak in again though, over the more deserving Lena or Sophie. Daznak, if done correctly, will be even more badass, awesome and amazing than her season 3 submission and I think the general epic of the scene may carry her over the line. Although if the walk is done well, Lena should really be contending for the win.

Alfie Allen should get an Emmy. He is by far the best actor in the series. Idk why they always nominate Emilia Clarke. In the special occasions when her acting and both material are good, it's not even close to Alfie's level.
Also Michael McElhatton, Jonathan Pryce, Kit Harrington, Sophie Turner, Lena Headey etc.

Jonathan Pryce and Kit Harrington. I agree that both of them have been fantastic, but Jonathan Pryce will almost certainly not be nominated

I did a quick search and last year they were released on the 13th and the final aired on the 15th. I think Lena could definitely get nominated, I've always thought this could be her year. However, I had no idea about what kind of material Sansa would be having this year and based on what we've seen so far, I think Sophie has a good shot at get a nomination as well. Alfie Allen and Jonathan Pryce have had great material this season as well.

I predict that they will submit episodes 3, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10 for the best drama Emmy this year.
Hardhome is definitely being submitted for (and is almost gauranteed to win) almost all VFX related awards, unless Daznakh is somehow able to outclass it in terms of visual spectacle.

The Walking Dead just submitted theirs yesterday so GoT should be soon. Unless they do premium channel stuff later.

Yeah, if I recall correctly, submissions were announced about 5-6 days before the airing of The Children the last season, which was why everyone was so hyped up for it, as it was their best writing submission. Since this year is a week behind, submissions should be this week.

Do Emmy's even have VFX awards? If they did, I bet they'd still find a way to give them to Breaking Bad and Mad Men..

They hand out most of them a week or so before the actual televised ceremony, which they just save for the acting categories (excluding guest), writing, directing and series.

Yeah, I know the Emmy's have smaller, non-televised awards, I put together the Emmy submission for my station every year. I just wasn't sure if a VFX category was established, it seems to be a recent development with the premium channels having higher budgets for some programs. Of course I may be just thinking of CGI. I suppose science fiction shows like The X-Files and Star Trek were loaded with VFX back in the 80s/90s.

And GoT has won VFX the last 3 years in a row, so it will probably win again this year.

Has TWD ever been nominated? Yes and they've won two for makeup and prosthetics. And Melissa McBride deserves to get nominated for Supporting Actress. *cough cough* It's a long shot, but I wish Sophie and Alfie would get some love. They are spectacular.

It's pretty obvious that Case 2 will be episodes 7 and 8, and Case 3 will be episodes 9 and 10.
The only question for me is whether Case 1 is 3&4, 4&5, or 3&5. Either way, assuming episodes 9 and 10 are really good, this season has a VERY good chance of winning the top prize this year with those submissions.
