General observation, I know Peter was, but David and Dan really did seem genuinely surprised, really surprised.
I am thinking they probably thought they would eventually.
I am a little, even though watching the other nominees GoT was indeed the best drama.
Funny to think back that Dave and Dan told HBO ,early on, the show would never win an Emmy!

I don't think that Dinklage deserved that award, but did anyone also notice how pissed the other nominees looked when he won? That seemed a tiny bit unprofessional to me.  |

just putting it out there but D&D don't deserve best writers
i agree with @kairos as well. peter was hardly in this season, he didn't have much material i wouldn't even have thought they'd nominate him.

They won 12  8 of them were handed out last weekend at the creative arts Emmys (mostly just technical categories like makeup, hair etc) and they took home another 4 yesterday (writing, acting, directing and drama). |

In a perfect world, Fairley would have won best acting for Season 3, Dinklage for Season 4 and Headey for Season 5.

I don't know if Uzo Aduba should have won two years in a row but let's be real here. Crazy Eyes is a great role and gives the actress a lot of screen time and so much to work with. I still think Lena Headey should have won, but I'm not surprised that she didn't.

Uzo Aduba is a lovely and talented woman, but her role as Crazy Eyes is just plain overacting. Lena Headey's acting is much more nuanced and subtle. She can convey emotions without moving a muscle in her face. It's insane.

Nevermind...she was up for supporting against Crazy Eyes. Yeah, I love Crazy Eyes, but Lena was better this year. OITNB season 3 kind of sucks asshole, in my opinion. |

Viola is excellent in HTGAWM and I'm happy for her Her performance was nothing ( nothing) on Tatiana in Orphan Black, but... I almost dropped my phone in shock when I saw that Tatiana had even been nominated so I am not disappointed |

If tatiana maslany can get snubbed for her work on orphan black than i don't really care for these awards. they mean nothing. they have no input into which shows i watch and never have. |
