Wow!
Just saw the news about GoT winning. I'm actually very surprised for the awards they won last night (not the creative ones). Of all of the ones form last night David Nutter deserved it the most.

Do any of you watch How To Get Away With Murder? I don't, so I don't really feel like I can judge. I have some friends who watch both shows and are happy that Viola Davis won. Next year, Lena! I watch it, but only because of him, ngl.

yeh but lena went up against better nominations like crazy eyes. those shows actually allow the actors to show range and stuff. GOT is a bit limited. This was Lena's year though, its unfortunate she lost These awards mean nothing whsn it comes to prestige; though. If i rembember correctly six feet under never even won a best drama trophy. Emmysis just something the networks use to slap the tag winner of ... emmys. That being said lena imho shouldnt even be nominatedWait... what? Lena is the best actor that is still part of this show.

I disagree that Season 3 of OITNB sucked. It was definitely the weakest season so far, but there was still a lot that I really enjoyed about it. But S3 made me hate Piper with a fiery passion.

If tatiana maslany can get snubbed for her work on orphan black than i don't really care for these awards. they mean nothing. they have no input into which shows i watch and never have. I also think it's a bit short-sighted to dismiss something like the Emmys as completely meaningless. They're meaningless in the sense of what is good and what isn't (because it is all subjective and we all have different opinions), but they're not meaningless in terms of the big machine that produces all of these shows that we watch. People do take notice and they make a difference. Although it's more noticeable with the Oscars, since on a yearly basis studios churn out loads of nonsense in the hope that they will win Oscars

Wait... what? Lena is the best actor that is still part of this show. Look lets not go too far No, but seriously. That's my honest opinion. Michelle Fairley > Lena Headey > Sean Bean > the rest

I guess they mean something to people in the business but im not in the business so... please don't take what im saying too seriously. im australian okay we know nothing. i agree Lena is probably the best female actress on the show

At least when it comes to getting funding for your show or getting a rile, it can help although not always.

BTW= just had a peek at the other site and they were frothing at the mouth after the wins. The mods ended up locking the thread.

Can we all at least agree on that Fairley was the freaking best, and the fact that she wasn't even nominated for the Red Wedding episode the biggest crime ever.

That bit of acting from Fairley was the best on the show so far, partly because there was so much to work with and it was so perfectly written and directed and partly because Michelle is fucking amazing. I don't care what anyone says.

Sean Bean should have won for his role as Ned Stark, he was amazing. But there you have it, the most deserving don't always win.

It's funny, Dinklage had this incredible, goosebumps inducing trial scene last year - yet he didn't win. He did basically nothing worth mentioning in Season 5, and he won. That's so fucking random.
