Yeah, those all needed serious trimming. But even the smaller PoVs did too. Davos chapter with the pirate guy? What the hell was that. And then his second chapter was him sitting a pub hearing things we already knew. That pirate guy was Sallador Saan and it was probably the most blatant piece of foreshadowing ever. "Hey that whole scene you just read, where we said this guy is the pophesised warrior? Well he isn't!" I liked the scene, but it was so obvious that they may as well of just said it straight out.

Sallador Saan? Pretty sure I'm talking about that lord on the island, who was kind of a pirate. Godric Borrell. Maybe he wasn't a pirate, but he was a sketchy character. He told the story about young Ned stark that seemed pretty pointless to me.

But I think the sitting on the pub chapter should've been cut.

I mean, it was fun. But I don't think it deserved an entire chapter. Especially not the first one Davos has had in 2 books
