Yeah, I don't think that shot of Selyse has anything to do with Shireen. I don't think she cares about her daughter that much. I think show Shireen feels safer than book Shireen tbh.

My book prediction is that Selyse actually does have Shireen sacrificed and when Davos shows back up with Rickon, he kills her.

Most likely that's just hear reaction to the pink letter and/or For the watch- aftermath. and if Shireen is sacrificed in TWOW, Stannis won't be too happy

I want Shireen to be the stone beast who rises up to greatness. I mean she's a fox, a turtle, a stag, a dragon, mix that together and its pretty beastly, add in the greyscale, she's got the stone. I don't her to die, I wan some good people to triumph in the end as well as some shits who hang on like cockroaches.
Although Selyse is s different from in the books so I've got no idea what to expect.

I'm hoping the Selyse shot is from For the Watch as well. More of a "oh shit we have no protection now" type thing so that would leave her and Shireen in "danger" for next season. I know Melisandre is there but that's not the same thing and with Stannis gone...
Pink Letter reaction seems plausable too. I'm hoping for anything but sacrificing Shireen at this point.

If for example a giant is loose and the wildlings and the night's watch clash and she'll be pushed to the ground by her guards to protect her.

I came! (that sounded wrong).
I actually had a dream with that scene of Selyse on the ground. It was played by the laughs...
Aaaanyway... Shireen. Dunno. They have a completely different dynamics in the show. Stannis seems to have a soft spot for her daughter that he doesn't have for his wife (with every other reason in the world). And it's funny how, when Selyse describes her, she's practically describing Stannis.
The thing with Shireen in the books is that she has greyscale and she's in the North. Duck's tale about the Shrouded Lord kinda hint (at least to me) a link between the Others and greyscale, something I haven't yet been able to figure out. Buuuut... the show has -as they have done with everything important like Rhaegar- ignored completely the greyscale plot.

I think they will talk more about greyscale in season 5.

I hope they do, especially if some of the Wildlings make a big fuss over it like Val did in the books.

Random thought but I was just listening to Shireen's song from the S3 soundtrack and it's so haunting I can totally picture them playing it while she burns someone calm me down!

They already have an instrumental version of that in S4... They just can't do it.. This is madness, they can't have a major character being raped brutally and a child burning in the same season. I'm still a bit afraid because the Stannis and Shireen's scene might be their last meeting. It could also be foreshadowing Shireen's death. If Mel burns Shireen, Stannis will ride as fast as possible to Castle Black and behead her himself.

If anything happens to Shireen it will be after Stannis is dead/presumed dead and Jon is "dead" in the chaos at the Wall--whether by Show!Mel/Show!Selyse or The Wildlings.

I loathe myself for saying this but I feel like losing Shireen would be Stannis' true downfall. Not that he wants to be king just for her but he says it himself if he dies to put her on the throne. Even if he takes Winterfell, but finds out they burned Shireen? Ooohh no. He'll be ruined without his daughter and heir. She's the key to his drive for the throne whether he realizes it or not.
