I read some posts that what Dany did is justifiable from a medieval and ancient warfare perspective. Similarly, Genghis Khan went to kill a million and half the population in Khwarazm all because their rulers killed his ambassadors.
I wouldn't mind the direction they are going to take with Dany going "mad". If this is gonna be the same in GRRM's ending, fine. After all, I could see this played out in the book given there are some anti-war stances. Obviously all the moments where she burns people throughout the series foreshadow to this, but they could have build it up more in how she's go for this decision on burning KL, particularly the moment where she realizes they are not gonna love her at the end. That bell moment is incredibly forced and rushed.

Wasn't there a Battle of the Bells during the rebellion? I seem to remember Jon Connington thinking about it.
Also, wasn't there something about the Pale Horse in book 5?

I know a lot of people shit on D&D for the direction the story is going, but I’m also shitting on GRRM for this since he stated multiple times the ending will be the same in the book. So? Having the same ending is meaningless without the journey. These endings arent bad in and of themselves, they are bad because of how the writers have built up to it Ways in which the show can destroy Arya's development during this episode in 8.06 (not based on any leaks, just my speculation): - She tries to kill Dany like she didn't let go of her list in this episode. - She tries to kill Drogon. Which would result on her death or she has the biggest plot armor any character has ever had. - A combo of the first two options. - Leaves Westeros and her family behind. If we're honest, I should be over the moon with Arya's arc this season. She is acting more and more like her old self and is leaving No One behind, she has reconnected with her family and Gendry and the Hound, she took Beric off her list and was sad when he died, she has shown emotion and empathy and in this episode she chose life over vengeance and tried to save people. Problem is, after what they did to Jaime and Dany, I do not trust all this to mean anything. Good thing is, next week this will be over. Whatever happens, I won't have to wonder how they are going to screw Arya up this season. Sadly i feel like the show could go down any or all of these choices. I got serious “Arya will kill Dany” vibes from the final shots That's like my dad saying I don't count as one of his kids... welp idk what to tell you bro bro Cersei’s children were conceived out of equal parts love for Jaime and spite for Bobby. So she probably considers them HER children, while anything sired by Bobby was HIS. Like that was no son of hers type of thing. Lol, spin those wheels Kelly Anne

Yep there is a battle of the bells where Robert is wounded and hides out in a brothel and impregnates a prostitute. The Pale Horse/Pale Mare is part of Quaithe’s prophecy and brings the plague to Meereen (on the nose with the biblical reference there mind, lol. Its as blatant as Dany/Moses leading her people across the Red Sea/Red Waste)

Gave it a second watch. First of all I'm sad again. Secondly - I didn't notice this on first watch due to shock - the music playing over the credits is a combination of Light of the Seven and Rains of Castamere. Ramin this is not fair. One man should not possess so much talent.

The only episodes I've rewatched this season were 801 and 802 (and Jaime and Brienne's scenes from 804) lol

kind of ironic that despite everything, Bobby B was probably the best monarch Westeros has ever seen

802 is pretty one of the best episodes lately, written by Bryan Cogman of all people.

The bells signified surrender. Tyrion told Dany this. Why did the Bells seem to trigger her madness instead?

The bells signified surrender. Tyrion told Dany this. Why did the Bells seem to trigger her madness instead? According to behind the scenes videos, is not the bells that sets Dany off, is the Red Keep. And that she feels like her victory is hollow. Which, OK, I can understand that after losing Rhaegal and Missandei and being betrayed by Varys winning the city so quickly can feel like "really? I lost all that for a 10 minute battle?" If she had gone after the Red Keep only to demolish it on top of Cersei for what she has done it would have been fine. Burning the whole city and targeting civilians without caring about her own armies is just too much. Is a forced rampage designed to turn Dany into a mad queen

Did someone just compare me to Kelly Anne Conway...? Ha, i only meant because much like Kelly Anne during Trump’s campaign you are fighting a hell of a battle trying to spin the bullshit that the D’s and their cohort spout outside of the episode into something that makes sense. They should really just shut up because pretty much everything they say is bullshit

I’m also hoping someone does a Hairspray “I can hear the bells” paradoy/mockery...

I'm just soooooo sad and upset Arya may end up going west of Westeros alone when she has always been about family and having a pack and going home. I wish that "west of Westeros" line had never been included, it opened the gates to a terrible conclusion for Arya. Sorry for being a downer and assuming that's what is going to happen, but the way the show is going, I can't help but feel they will do this. I don't want to believe it, I shouldn't believe it based on Arya's arc this season, and yet, seeing the direction the show is taking and how D&D care more about subverting expectations than giving the characters a satisfying ending, is where my head is at the moment. Argh why are they doing this??? why??

I’m also hoping someone does a Hairspray “I can hear the bells” paradoy/mockery... I had two songs stuck in my head all day yesterday, "I Can Hear the Bells" from Hairspray, and "The Bells of Notre Dame" from Hunchback, just because of that episode title. Sing the bells, bells, bells, bells ... bells, bells, bells, bells, beeeells of Noooootreeee Daaaaaaaame!
