 Sorry I missed your post the first time around. I had no idea they were remastering FF12, I always thought it was a forgotten gem. But it's been one of my favorites for some time. I've talked it up a few times before. This looks fucking amazing. Is it only on PS4? It's only on PS4 for now, but I'm sure they're going to release it on PC eventually. I fucking love Fran's voice actress. <3 Gurl, you know I'm gonna turn it to Japanese + subtitles no matter what. |

To be fair, you could play 3 without 2 or 1 without too much confusion. 1 is seemingly (though not entirely) disconnected from the main story (while still great in it's own right) and serves mainly to introduce the game world. 2 is far more important storywise considering many events that are far too spoiler to discuss. You should really give them a go though if you get a chance, as the whole series has an incredible narrative overall and there are so many little details that really come together once you play the series. I foolishly underestimated how lore-rich the game would be. I mean, even the in-game glossary of characters which I'm having to use extensively is practically in a different language. "The Wild Hunt was in truth an elite cavalry brigade from the world of the Aen Elle, the Alder Folk, and was commanded by their ambitious and ruthless king, Eredin Bréacc Glass" "Emhyr var Emreis, Deithwen Addan yn Carn aep Morvudd - the White Flame Dancing on the Graves of his Foes. Emperor of Nilfgaard, lord of Metinna, Ebbing and Gemmera, sovereign of Nazair and Vicovaro" I'm sitting here trying to read this stuff like  The white flame dancing on the graves of his foes just so happens to voiced by Charles Dance. I did not realize I had The Witcher 2. I should get around to playing them... 1) Your friend is right. 2) Yes, you should. 3) You made a subconsciously wise choice. 4) Yes, you should. |

I fucking came. Love that FFXII is basically Star Wars, it has the same character archetypes. Balthier and Fran are Han and Chewie and their airship Strahl is the Millenium Falcon. Vaan is Luke, Princess Ashe is Princess Leia and Gabranth and the other Archadian Judges are Darth Vader. Even the story is basically the same, it's all about fighting against the evil Empire. America usually gets something like this: Yeah, that's also what the German cover of XIII looked like. I'm not a fan. The older games usually only featured the logo on a white background (which I prefer) whereas in America they also show one or several characters. This is FFVIII in Germany:  And in the US:  FFX:   |

Yeah, the guy who looks, sounds, and in some instances acts like Robert Baratheon. It was a very strange experience. The bestiary had warned me that the foetus baby monster was one of the most repulsive creatures in the game, but even that's an understatement and a half. |
