I have climbed down from my tree too. Hello again! Whoa, it's like I summoned you. Just mentioned you as the board's first departure.

Ah that Tumblrer, holy fucking Azor Ahai of the Seven Heavens, I despiiiise that person. It's like the worst Rant & Ravers combined into a single person. It's an abomination that should be nuked and deleted permanently from the internet Aren't there two people on that tumblr? They are definitely both annoying.

Calling bullshit on 6 to 1. If thus guy is legit then he's probably just crudely estimating from what he saw which makes it unreliable, especially since so much time has passed. And let's not forget that the majority of the armies on both sides are going to be CGI which is likely still not finished. Very good point. I guess it's worth mentioning the odds in ep. 409. Which were even more screwy but imo still made for a good episode. The point being, so long as its tightly-made and interesting, this all shouldn't be a problem. Not that I even believe these spoilers at this point because I have plenty of doubts. But they COULD be done well all the same. In 409 they were outnumbered 10 to 1, but they had a huge wall on their side and also had no choice to defend. It's one thing to defend a magical ice wall while being outnumbered 10 to 1, but it's a whole another thing to attack a strong castle while being outnumbered 6 to 1, pretty much suicidal. Anyway, I can agree that Sapochnik can still make a great battle out of it even if it's all true, but I'll remain skeptic until then. Yep, the wildlings inside Castle Black didn't have a big advantage, and the ones on the other side of the Wall couldn't do shit with theirs. Stannis was the one who fought them on open field, but they were never fully mobilized against him.

lol @ "Run or don't run at all!" but the Boltons outnumbering them 6 to 1 is some bullshit Yeah, let's say that Jon managed to gather 2,000 men (marching to Winterfell with anything less than that would be ridiculous, even Stannis had more than that after most of his army deserted him), so Ramsay managed to field an army of 12,000 men? That's 2/3 the size of the initial Northern army, before the war and before the Red Wedding. Where would they come from? The Boltons also had about 2,000 men when they defeated Stannis, how did they manage to add 10,000 more?
This is why I hope at least that part of the leak isn't true, otherwise it will be more unfair and uneven than Stannis' last stand battle in 5x10. I'm okay with the Boltons having the upper hand, like having a couple thousand men more than the Starks, but even twice as many men would already be too much to me, so six times as many is simply absurd. yeah, those numbers are crazy. it means nothing for jon to go to rally an army if he can't possibly win without the help of fucking littlefinger.

Yeah, the show is very inaccurate with many things. The Danes' main source of income was slave trade, not raiding and stealing shit, and they traded with people all over Europe and the Middle East. Also Kattegat being in Norway but people still riding to Hedeby, which is at Denmark. And Earl Haraldson and acting like Lothbrok was a family name and as if crucifying heretics was an accepted and standard practice, etc. etc. etc.

I just watched The Prince of Winterfell and I always laugh everytime Stannis talks about how he likes dogs but FUCK CATS. Yet another reason I don't like the guy. Stannis doesn't really seem like a dog person either, given that he doesn't even understand human warmth and affection. I feel like his thoughts would be more like Mr. Burns's, "Dogs are idiots. Think about it, Davos. If I came into your holdfast and started sniffing at your crotch and slobbering all over you, what would you say?". (And then Davos would ask "If you did it, Your Grace?".)

I'm annoyed that Erlender gets to go to Paris with them again. Also, I don't get why Kalf was helping his revenge agenda if he really wanted to marry Lagertha. Does Erlender not hold a grudge against her for his mother's death, which also made his younger siblings' deaths possible? If he only cares about avenging Horik than he's even more of a worthless little shit. Why did Ragnar spare Erlendur anyway? He ordered the younger children to be killed, but left the most dangerous one - Hårik's heir himself - alive. It was supposed to be because Erlender was interested in Ragnar's colonization plan. The uncut version of 2.10 has him carrying Wessex dirt around as his souvenir. But, yeah, it was stupid.

wow i haven't rewatched nearly as many times as you guys Me either. I've watched it twice all the way through, and favorite episodes a handful of times. I've watched the earlier seasons way too much, but I'm not geeky enough to keep count of how many times I watched individual eps like Blackwater. Are y'all updating progress charts or something?

I'm gonna be annoyed if Chekhov's Forgotten Wildfire Caches only almost go off. So will I, but it's possible that Jaime kills her while the city is burning. Idt that's how wildfire works.

Late. 709 to be exact. So as Dany and Tyrion are trying to reach KL, Cersei will burn it, but will be stopped by Jaime? I'm gonna be annoyed if Chekhov's Forgotten Wildfire Caches only almost go off.

Shouldn't that have burned up with Shireen? Probably but it's possible she dropped it during the portions of the scene that played out offscreen. I think Davos will find something at that spot though. I think she'd actually have to throw to get it out of the fire.

And he was astonished by the number of deaths this season.... So from what I can gather, Davos and Mel will be allies until Davos finds out about Shireen, and then things might get ugly. It's quite likely he finds the little stag toy he made for her in this scene. Shouldn't that have burned up with Shireen?

What was with the surprise incest in Frankia? Rme at Yidu being the Emperor's daughter. Not here for Ragnar's tripping and projecting his Athelstan love onto his Chinese slave. Ubbe looks the same age as l'il Bjorn did, and I think he was around 14 before the time jump in s2. But then that would make Bjorn in his late 20s now, a little old to be considered still a boy before his survivorman excursion. He was confirmed to be 12 back then. No, he was 12 in the pilot, not the last time we saw him in s2.

Not here for Ragnar's tripping and projecting his Athelstan love onto his Chinese slave. they might use makeup to make her look a little older and maybe some fake grey hair. i think a time jump of 7 years should be okay, i mean how old is the oldest of auslaug's? 10-12? that would make him 17-19 and thats pretty old for that time. Ubbe looks the same age as l'il Bjorn did, and I think he was around 14 before the time jump in s2. And 9 months later, one thing is still bugging me. Where the fuck did those deserted sellswords go? Either Belfast or back to the Free Cities. Idt Belfast and Essos exist in the same world.
