Loved Season 1 and 2. Didn't like Season 3.
Edit: We have a Television thread in Entertainment btw.

It felt like the beginning of the turning point for the show though, so I understand why some might not like it. It's going to be a totally different beast by season 5 I think.

Love Vikings! It's one of my favorite shows that I currently watch. Travis Fimmel, Clive Standen, and Katheryn Winnick are all stellar. I really enjoyed season 3 for the most part. Especially the siege of Paris. Can't wait for next season. Even read The Sagas of Ragnar Lodbrok after getting into the show.

Apparently Season 4 will have 16 episodes instead of 10. IIRC S1 had only 9.

the more episodes the better! this is what GOT should have done for this season I am looking forward to confrontation between Ragnar and Floki. The show has been very good but IMO the Ragnar vs Rollo thing is already old. We had it in 2x01, no need to have another one in S3.

I don't think Ragnar will fight Rollo. i dont get that feeling. it seems rollo will negotiate with ragnar about the lands and help him conquer other places. I'm glad rollo is getting his own storyline the more rollo the better.

I think 16 will drag the season out too much. 13 may be better or just stick with 10. Season 3 seemed to drag at times and have too much filler even with just 10 episodes.

True, very true about TWD, sometimes i think im going to give up on that show but i just cant be bothered? i think it would work out for vikings though. they always have time jumps so now they can slow things down a bit and really explore themes and characters in the different locations since they've expanded the show quite a lot last season.

Yeah I guess it could work in that regard. The Scandinavia parts were horrid last season though and I'm not sure spending more time their, or with characters like Kalf would have even helped.

In Season 3 I think episode 7 was mostly just filler. I hope they manage to get rid of it. By the way, they actually said that season will consist of around 16 episodes. So it could be less.

IMO Ragnar had every right to be mad at Aslaug because she didn't look after her children and let their friend die. Of course there was no way she could've known about it, but still it counts. Also I dislike her general bitching back from Season 2.

Yeh but he was like ignoring her before this happened. i was mad at her by being tempted be the wanderer but i got the feeling she just needed a little bit of love. shes a person not a robot nanny. Ragnar doesn't have to look after the kids all the time because he is always away so he can't really say anything. the kids were looked after, they just ran away from siggy. I think it was her fate to save them and drown in the ice.
