Maisie looked so young when she was throwing her stuff away. I know she has quite a young face anyway but she looked super young in that scene especially when she was holding Needle and having an internal battle about what to do with it.

The most bizarre thing to me about the entire season so far is the best Cersei scene doesn't even have Lena in it. What are the Top 5 scenes so far for you? Well, from memory, in this order: Brienne and Pod (talking about her past) Daario and Dany (You suck at Ruling) Stannis and Shireen (Story) Daario and Grey Worm (You suck at Leading) Cersei and Maggy Barristan and Dany (Rhaegar ruled) Missandei and Grey Worm Mance and Pyre Arya and Needle Sansa and Petyr (Avenge them - I may just have liked the cinematography on this one though) Actually, no. The strangest thing so far in the entire season is Missandei / Grey Worm belongs in my Top 10. I did not expect that. There are lots of interesting scenes in these four episodes but few that are both interesting and powerful.

I know this isn't directed at me, but feel like discussing this anyways My top 5 favourite would be: 1. The burning of Mance from episode 1. They gave something I didn't care about at all in the books a lot of weight and impact. Loved it. 2. The old man becoming Jaqen. Jaqen is one of my favourite book and show characters; glad to have him back! The music and the image of the HoBaW were great in that scene also. 3. The Stannis/Shireen scene. It felt like on of those classic GoT conversations. Up there with Tyrion/Oberyn from last season, Jaime/Brienne from S3, and Cersei/Robert from S1. 4. The final scene of Sons of the Harpy. Watching Grey Worm and Barristan fight was intense, and, though I never cared about both these characters before, I am really anticipating finding out what happened to both. 5. Theon turning away from Sansa- this was a short scene, but I felt it conveyed his guilt really well. Also, this forum is great! Conversations feel a lot less restricted than they do on Westeros.org, WOTW, reddit, etc.

That was soooooooooooooo moving. I could almost hear the book dialogue in Maisie's head.....Needle was WF and it's people.........Needle was......Jon Snow's smile. I do think it was one of THE most powerful scenes so far, with all the hub bub of secret epis and book changes, it so far isn't getting much attention. It is feeling pretty true to the books so far, too, so it's maybe not getting all the talk. But, I remembered a review as I was watching, talking about being reminded of what a terrific actress the Young Ms Williams is......and it MUST be this scene. So PERFECT!!

I wouldn't say it was perfect, but it was definitely one of the best. I wish she whispered a very teary-eyed, broken "...Jon..." after a few seconds of staring at the sword. I felt in that moment, where she was getting ready to get rid of the sword, her internal struggle of whether or not to throw it away would be so powerful that she couldn't keep it totally inside, and it would just come out. The moment that she realized she couldn't hold it in would be the moment that she knew she couldn't throw it away. But that's just me.

@moiaf I liked it but thought it was kinda sloppy how oh they're bout to vote between Alliser and the other guy but then at the last second Samwell speaks up  his speech was good though. Not sure I buy Jon getting all that support without Sams politicing either but it's just a nitpick really. We saw Jon Snow be Lord Commander material last year. It is not a surprise that people would be willing to vote for him. They just needed Sam to put his name forward. Plus, Jon's not a dick like Alliser.

As far as King's Landing / Winterfell goes, I think what they're doing is flipping the complexities of these storylines to give their established characters more screentime. King's Landing becomes a dynamic of a whole bunch of factions vying for power, and Winterfell becomes a straight forward thing with a Sansa subline.
I'm not sure if that really works though, because you have one faction just take over quickly with everyone trying to figure out how to deal with it, while Winterfell was more about building and building and building and then boom.

Wow... I still try to breath now, I feel somehow exhausted, watching 4 new episodes without any stop/break was quite an over-kill, I guess... Have now to order my thoughts to post something productive...

I can't quite wrap my head around he KL stuff. Tommen might have been aged up but he's acting like he's younger. It's like they wanted an older Tommen to consummate but in all other aspects he's not moved much beyond his 8 year old self. Plus Margaery antagonising Cersei seems very stupid to me right now when there is no one around to hold Cersei back and her fathers being sent off.
It worked before beause there were enough people around to keep Cersei on a leash that doesn't exist now but Marge hasn't changed how she acts with Cersei, she seemed cleverer than that for me. All she has to do I make nice for a few years until Tommen has the power all to himself. Marge is Queen but right now she has no real power because Tommen is relatively impotent right now in his ability to do anything. Cersei is the one on the up now but Margaery seems not to have noticed that or if she has she's failed to change the way she plays with Cersei.
I've given up trying to work out the Winterfell stuff, it's beyond me to understand how any of this really benefits anyone. Plus it totally changes the dynamic of Theon's story.

The nod was a bit weird - good and bad. I liked the way Stephen performed it, but it looked like they filmed it totally separately and edited the scenes in together in an odd way. If Kit didn't look up at the balcony after he whacked Janos' head off I'd think they originally cut it and called Stephen back in for reshoots and threw it in there. I don't recall him having any guards around, and his purpose standing on the balcony, knowing what is going on seemed off. It's kind of on the director, but there should have been more yelling in the yard that elicited Stannis' attention to come outside with Davos and a few guards to watch. I didn't understand how he was aware what was going on to have a presence. It was like he was just taking a leisurely stroll outside and ways like "oh hai, what's going on here." There are a couple of weird "Stannis what are you doing" moments. Like when he was having that chat with Selyse and Mel... just chilling on some stairs, leaning over the handrail, serenely watching the recruits train. Or when he was talking with Jon, started walking one way then did an abrupt 180 and started walking the other way mid-conversation. I suppose he's adapting to not staring at the Painted Table 24/7.

Oh and on LSH (spoilering this because if you haven't seen episode 4 you really don't want to read this): Despite what Feldman, the author of the Meereenese Blot, said there has been nothing to suggest that LSH is cut, except that Brienne is outside of Moat Caillin.
The fact Brienne explicitly says they're going off road around the Moat, through spooky neck territory, venturing into areas no one ever goes means LSH could even pop up randomly in Episode 5.

Don't remember if it is new or a different version of The King's Arrival. Need to rewatch. It is certainly not a version of The King's Arrival. It is probably the new music I liked best. The House of Black and White's music is suitably moody.
