I would go see it either way because it's the Coen Brothers. Hopefully the reviews are up before Friday though.

Hail, Caesar looks pretty "meh" to me. I'm not sure if I'll see it in theaters yet.

First reactions to Hail Caesar are so terrible I've only disliked one Coen bros movie (The Ladykillers), so that is really dissapointing.

Sucks to hear, that cast is so goood. Not sure if I'll see it in the theatre or not. Gotta say though I hated Burn After Reading when I first watched it. Watched it again recently and thought it was hilarious with unique characters. Most Coen Bros movies are better second time around. I actually haven't seen Ladykillers it's on Netflx I've been wanting to check it out but everyone says it's the worst Coens brother movie.

I'm not as crazy about the Coen Brothers as many are. I've disliked more movies of there's that I loved. Most are just okay.
Burn After Reading, I wasn't crazy for, but Brad Pitt was so funny in it. I loved that.

Yeah, I'm with day dreamer . I'm not a huge fan of theirs either. To be quite honest, I don't think I really love any of their movies. (Yeah, yeah, on me ) But I was curious about this one.

My guess is it'll be more mixed than overly negative in its reception. Which fits because critics are never as big on their screwball comedies as they are on their other stuff. Of course the Big Lebowski wasn't well-reviewed when it came out...but I don't sense that same magic being in this one. But they're such great writers I'll probably be compelled to see it at some point. Even their worse movies are endlessly-layered and full of little character ticks and details that no other screenwriters approach quality-wise imho. Barton Fink though. That's their best movie. I love it so much.

The Big Lebowski? Raising Arizona? Blood Simple? Fargo? NO?!? I'm very disappointed to hear the reviews are bad for the new one.

Fargo or Miller's Crossing are their best movies imo. But I love most of them tbh.

Fargo or Miller's Crossing are their best movies imo. But I love most of them tbh. Definitely both in my top 5 of theirs. I adore A Serious Man. It's my number 1 for sure. No Country for Old Men is obviously a great one. I also watched The Man Who Wasn't There recently and it was really solid. Gandolfini had a nice little part and Billy Bob Thornton was awesome.Fargo season two took a decent bit of inspiration from it. Still need to see a handful of their movies though.

And Marge Gunderson might be my favorite female character from any movie ever. Also, Buscemi is pure gold in that movie.
