Worst episode of the season yet. This is what happens when you have 20 episodes. Ecbert's coronation and Harald & Halfdan's viking cruelty were the only parts I liked. While Erlendur's death was satisfying, it was really anticlimatic. I'm sure everyone in the audience thought that Torvi would kill Björn. Ivar will be a creepy motherfucker after the time jump. And he's apparently gonna sport a shitty psycho hipster haircut: I thought this picture had Ubbe, Hvitserk, Sigurd, and Ivar + the black haired guy. EDIT: NVM, Björn's there too. And Ivar obviously can't stand.

How can that be Ivar, he's got black hair and looks italian lol
I see everyone hated this episode. I kind of liked it. I didn't understand why siggy was dead but I think that's just to show how fucked up auslaugs gotten. Lol at gizzla saying no to sex while pregnant. And so yeh the king is gay/bi. Well now I guess he is a little interesting whereas before he was boring as shit.
Setting up fight between Ragnar and Rollo was hype. And Ecbert and Aelle. The end of the season/ second half should be good.

Sigurd should grow up to be a handsome little bugger. I mean, that hair! Also, he is the only one who seems to give two shits about anything in Kattegat, Ragnar should have just left him in charge. I should probably feel bad for this but Ivar calling Aslaug stupid was hilarious

What was with Aslaug telling Ivar she's the only reason he's alive? Wasn't it Ragnar that made the final decision to spare him?

This. Ragnar left Ivar in the woods because couldn" bring himself to kill his own son, not to mention a baby.

That was pretty great. This show officially has TWD syndrome (string of mediocre episodes followed by a great one to keep you invested). Loved the ship to ship battle. That shit was intense. Glad the French brother & sister (who's names I can't even remember) are dead. Good riddance. The last couple episodes have done a good job at getting rid of the dead weight. Aslaug is officially Cersei. Drunk and bitchy. I let out a Nooooo when Lagertha was stabbed. She better be alive! One of the brothers looks a like Erlendur. This displeases me. Ivar is appropriately creepy though. Didn't love the scene they chose to end on, but I have to keep in mind this is only a mid-season finale, not a season finale.

Yeah, it was a good episode all in all. Great fight scenes and no ridiculous attempts at intrigue except for the deaths of the pointless incest siblings, which hopefully puts an end to the soap opera of Paris. That said, the time jump the could've been better, as it was very awkward and came completely out of nowhere, and the ending was really abrupt, even making me think I downloaded a shitty torrent. They could've foreshadowed a bit more for what's gonna happen in the second half of the season. Good to know that Björn will likely spend most of it in the Mediterranean, doing his own thing and not just a part of the Great Heathen Army. Ivar's actor seems good enough to be a lead despite his awful haircut, and I think Ubba is the one with the haircut and beard similar to Björn's, if so he seems decent too, but I'm not sold on the others yet. They could also invest a bit more in aging make up. Aslaug and Helga haven't aged a day and still look in their early thirties when they are supposed to be nearing their sixties, I imagine. Björn alone must be in his mid thirties already.

Björn alone must be in his mid thirties already. I think Ubbe was the one who looked like Brad Renfro, Hvitserk was the one who wanted to kill Ragnar, and Sigurd was the Erlender-looking one. I'm mostly just amused that the women never age, especially Aslaug who has birthed and raised 4 kids. Maybe that was part of Harbard's magic, but prob not bc I bet Lagertha will still look the same too. Would've been nice to see her, though. I was kinda surprised that Aslaug and Bjorn apparently still got along and ruled together after they've done so much to turn her into Cersei this season. Maybe she got somewhat less crazy and powerhungry after Ragnar left.
