Doran's got no chance of being promoted to main cast, given the lack of screentime he's had so far. I'd say Podrick is a possibility and hopefully the High Sparrow because that means even more from Pryce. (Not so fun) Fun fact: When I was looking at the recurring cast list, I found out Olly was in 9 episodes this season. NINE

More than Roose! More than Dany! More than LF!

Do you guys think that we'plan get any aftermath of Stannis's death? D&D will most likely want to forget him asap and concentrate on the "heroes"

But still he was only in for like five minutes total. It's about screentime in the end not how many episodes you're in.

D&D will most likely want to forget him asap and concentrate on the "heroes" We know already that Varys will make reference to what happened. And they're still mentioning people that died years ago in the show, so of course what happened won't be forgotten. There's no reason to assume that.

I think he means aftermath of the scene between Stan and Brienne, not BoI.

This is true, but Olly still shouldn't have been in 9 episodes and his little screen time could have been devoted to developing other characters. You'd be surprised what you could do with five minutes, jk. I doubt he will be in that many episodes again next year.

The time is allotted on a storyline basis, not a character basis. And he's basically a means of getting people like Jon and Sam to explain their rationales which is good for the audience to hear and to represent certain attitudes in the North and NW towards wildlings, which need a face other than grizzled NW officers.
But it was Jon's storyline, not a minor character in its that was given so much time this year and that I didn't mind at all.

Well if you look at it that way, yeah its good to have another character in that storyline besides Alliser, Gilly, Aemon for Jon and Sam to try to reason with, I just didn't like Olly.

Pretty sure the Olly fan club is really really small. Poor kid who played him probably got more hate than Jack Gleeson!

Who do you think will be appointed to the main cast? Maybe Jonathan Pryce? Doran? I hope for Urine Euron, but they've never added new characters to main cast after S2, when they had Stannis, Davos, Mel and Marg. With Bran coming back, I think that brings the number up to 27, so they might not even promote anyone. If they do, Jonathan Pryce probably has the best chance considering Cersei's and the Tyrell trials.

Alexander Siddig too depending on screentime. And of course Isaac will return to the main credits. Season 7.... Max von Sydow will definitely be there, unless they brand him a "special guest star" in order to get Emmy nominations. Ian McShane will probably make it too, and whoever plays Euron.

Even though we're still really in the dark about who will die this season, I'm expecting that there will be more than a couple main cast members done in Season 6.
