I think we'll know after the next episode whether or not Faegon's story amounts to anything in the books. The next episode is called A Dance with Dragons, so if any dragon is going to fight Dany, it's going to be one that Doran Martell has up his sleeve in place of Faegon. Don't you think? Perhaps he claims that Trystane is Aegon (did they describe Baby Aegon in show?) Or perhaps he simply reminds everyone that the Martells have dragon blood and are unbent, unbowed, and unbroken and goes to war to sit Myrcella on the throne in place of her brother.
We've all been expecting a second show-down between dragon lords, but I do note that no dragons actually fought (or danced) in A Dance with Dragons, the novel.

I could definitely see him bending the knee to Dany and loyally serving as member of her small council before being brutally murdered by a White Walker. Really? Aegon is incredibly cocky and has a vicious temper in the book. Have you forgotten him flipping the cyvasse board in a temper tantrum at Tyrion? I don't see him bending the knee at all. In fact it was that tantrum that made Tyrion wonder to himself if he wasn't really a Targaryen afterall. He's still a sheltered kid. Seeing war would grow him up quickly. Sansa, Bran, Jon, and all the other kids have all been growing from imperfect children into impressive adults. There is time in two books to mature Aegon up. Anyway, Dany doesn't mind cocky men with tempers. But sure, I think Aegon is probably toast.

I'll agree (in the books) there's plenty of time for Aegon to grow up and actually make a showing as a potential candidate for the throne. Again, doesn't matter if he's a fake or not - we've already got plenty of those! My questioning was aimed more at whether he would bend the knee to Dany. I don't see that happening with his personality and how he's been raised but I could be wrong. All of this speculation probably doesn't account for much anyways since he's not on the show and I'm convinced that means he won't be around long in the books otherwise they would have cast him this season or next.

fAegon was probably raised not knowing he is a fake, if he thinks he is actually Aegon Targaryen, he will never step aside so that Dany can sit on the throne because, as far as he is concerned, he is the rightful king of Westeros and goes before Dany in the line of succession. And then Dany will burn him

You think Rickon will be back next season? Considering that Sansa knows now that her brothers are alive, yes. But I think we will see Bran first. EDIT: Some sort of family reunion of Sansa with Jon, Bran and Rickon could happen via Stannis.

This is his current twitter profile pic, he looks so old. We've seen more of Rickon than of Tommen and Myrcella, so I think the viewers would recognise him and a recast is less likely. As for introduction, I have no idea right now, it all depends on how the next two episodes work out for Stannis and at Castle Black.

The last appearance of Rickon was in 3.09, compared with Jaqen (last appearance in 2.10, reoccured in 5.02) it can be possible. They also tend to go far back in the Previously Ons.

That's one of the biggest problems with trying to keep the timeline so short ... they really should have let "years" pass on the show instead of the parallel storyline from the books. The young kids have all grown up since season 1 and yet Gilly's baby is still a baby so it causes a distortion in the timeline and is confusing. I would have believed at least 3-4 years have passed in the world of GoT without question even when I know not that much time has passed in the books. That way these kids like Rickon could still be the same. How old would Rickon supposedly be on the show right now, anyone want to take a guess?

I think Sansa is 15-16, Arya 14, Bran 12-13 and Rickon 11 years old. That's pure speculation on my behalf, these 'how much time passed in each season' discussions confuse me so much.

Well the actors for the boys in particular (Bran and Rickon) have both grown up way older looking than their show characters now and they aren't even showing them this season so it's going to be that much more of a shocker next season. I mean lookit that gangly kid, he looks damn near as old as Sansa, not an 11 year old boy LOL. They hyper aged Tommen and Mycella too. I honestly would not be surprised if they didn't end up recasting at least Rickon for a younger boy.

awww rickon has a growth spurt! i saw dracula untold which came out last year and he still looked really young in that. oh well i don't mind the actors looking older. I think the girls show their age more than the boys because of the boobs and hips growing. They'll probably use the original rickon because he has made quite a few movies now and is quite a good little actor unlike the extras that were cast for tommen and myrcella.

A comment. Hardhome does something George has not, that set up the Others as the Big Deal Threat. So seem the story jumps ahead, making way for a season 6 + 7 or 7.5. It also creates some room for the Ironborn to be folded in, seems like that is going to happen. God only knows how many locations we have now , I can't keep track. We now have Tyrion's arc with Dany's (tho that seems broken for a while) , in the books seems, the Ironborn, 'Team' Meereen are bout to hook up which for the show would or could be three arcs , with Dany, converging. In the books the NOrth and Wall seem in disarray don't know what the show will do about that. What KL and Dorne's involvement with the Others is murky.

Peniscola (yes PENIS, not Pensi) also confirmed. Looks like the Rock to me: Just needs a little CGI.
