Posting in the Introductions Thread last night, I included the backstory of how I arrived at Izzue for a username. (Long story short, from a memory of a dog whose original owners couldn't think of a name, kept saying to him "Is you a good dog?", which with baby talk became "Is ou a good dog", so they decided that "Is ou" was as good as anything and called him that. I probably should have spelled it Izzoo instead of Izzue. Hindsight.)
But it made me think that it'd be really interesting to hear how each member arrived at their username.
How did you pick yours?

Well my love for cinema started with Moulin Rouge! and I became huge Nicole Kidman fan so I used "Satine" as nickname and since I'm really tiny (1.54m) people just used the abbreviation of it and called me "sati"

When I first attempted to register, I tried occidental punani. But it didn't go through. Then I went with fudwupper from a fantastic Berkeley Breathed children's story, but, alas. The record is sealed on fudwupper's passing for the next 25 years. So, I am atreyu. I envy the people who have figured out to capitalize their nicks. Anyway, Atreyu is the protagonist from the really shitty movie The Neverending Story. I am meta as fuck. I also used to go by Bastian at Amazon, he was from that movie as well. There is a footy story that rounds out my decision to go with atreyu, but I've babbled long enough.
Is there a drunk thread yet?
ETA: I figured out how to cap my nick. Diary entry!

I am a tile artist, with a home studio and kiln room. During the height of Harry Potter mania years, I concentrated all my work on hand-painting Potter-related tiles, murals, plaques, cups, etc. I had a nice little on-line business going and chose this username for obvious reasons. It became my username at all the various Potter forums, the on-line store name, my email address, everything. I've used the name for so long now that it feels like my name! Plus, it's always a pleasure to see lovely Alan Rickman whenever I post something.

It is a combination of my real name Laura, my favourite ASOIAF character Arya and the main character in my favourite novel, The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón.

DaveyJoe is just my nickname, not very creative, but it's almost always available for use.

Because I think Carol from The Walking Dead is the queen of everything. (and since this is a show about kings and queens, it's a nice way to combine the two)

One of my favourite games of all time is 'Dragon Age: Inquisition' and there, you can choose what type of character you want to play as. If you go for Human (as opposed to Elf, Dwarf or Qunari), your character will be a member of House Trevelyan, and other characters will refer to him or her as Lord or Lady Trevelyan, or sometimes as Inquisitor Trevelyan. That's pretty much it. I chose that username, because Trevelyan sounds cool and I absolutely love the game.

I used to play World of Warcraft and I was making an Elven character, so I went to some Elven name maker website that had Elven prefixes and suffixes and thus 'Zadeth' was born.

I put my username by accident as "paid", as my username in westeros.org was Paid Debt Lannister. But I don't like that name and think Patchface rules so there we go

I came online today wondering if anybody'd posted on that thread I started, and wow! I love hearing people's stories - at one point in my career all I did was MH diagnostic assessments, and it was one of my favorite jobs because I love to learn all about people, their experiences, likes and dislikes, etc. Sati I love Nicole Kidman, too, and one of my biggest disappointments when I was in Paris last year was that I never did get to see the Moulin Rouge. @atreyu Shitty movie or no, "The Neverending Story" is a pretty intriguing title. And . . . you should find a way to start a drunk thread. iheartseverus I bet your tiles are beautiful! I've always liked your name (used to see it on westeros, too), because I loved the Harry Potter series, plus that IS a great photo of Alan Rickman. @cosca Well, now I gotta look into the First Law series, for sure. 8-| @lauryacarax Awesome how you combined three names. And I love Arya, too -- She and Jon are my favs. @daveyjoe Well, it's a very nice name. When I was little I always wanted one of those little dogs in those ads in the back of comic books that you could fit in the palm of your hand, or in a teacup, or some such. (Now of course I'd sic PETA on them!) Queen Carol I always thought Carol must be your real name, just shows to go ya. Love the photo. Basil Trevelyan does sound very cool! (I love the photo you use, too.) Zadeth An elvan name maker website??!? Where? Where? Fire and Blood Love it, and it goes perfectly with the expression of Sansa's face. Let's hope that's exactly what she's got in store for Ramsay - and soon! Patchface I love Patchface, too. Disappointed that he's not figured in the tv series. I had hopes when that one episode a couple of seasons ago ended with Shireen singing "It's Always Summer under the Sea".
