It's magical, I love it. So many choices. But a question: how do you "roll"?

I just chose a prefix and suffix. I don't play by the rules! Edit - Yeah I'm pretty sure it for D&D and stuff. You role the D10 (10 sided die) to see how many times you roll on the tables then roll a D100 (100 sided die) to see what name you get I think.

Because I think Carol from The Walking Dead is the queen of everything. (and since this is a show about kings and queens, it's a nice way to combine the two) I will admit to being prejudiced toward your opinions because I imagine them coming from Carol.

I started using Witchy online several years ago after I read a series with a character named Witchy. I can't even remember the name of the series now.

Well, I'm not female, so "Mother of Dragons" wouldn't really have worked for me

When I first joined that other board 'lo those many years ago, I wanted to adopt a character name. But all my favs and various play on words were already taken by the cool kids. So, I turned to another favorite author, Terry Pratchett, and registered under Quoth, a minor character in his Discworld series. And I love puns, so.... And it seemed to sorta fit... "Dark wings, dark words."

My username comes from these shoes: ShoesI was looking at them and asked my friend what she thought of them and she said "Why would you buy those? Are you trying to be a Unicorn?" I have another nickname (given to me by the same friend) which refers to my petite-ness (I'm 5'); I use it on other forums.

I remember having read a theory about Ramsay being Azor Ahai few days before I registered at Westeros.org (December 6th last year, Finland's indepedence day) but I like Roose more than his bastard, so I decided I'd be called Roose is Azor Ahai.

My name is a shitty attempt to make my last name into a roman name. I made it for a Spartacus forum when that show was on STARZ.

Mine is probably self explanatory if you read Lord of the Rings. Eomer is one of my favorite characters. Love me some riders of Rohan.
Forgot to add: love reading the backstories on everyone's user names. Great thread!

Long story! Back around 1999 I was following the development of a game called Shadowbane that a friend of mine from EQ was community manager for and we had a lot of hype as he touted it to be a "Game of Thrones Like Politics" complete with sigils, warring factions, keeps, sieging and the ability to take over other "houses" and also pledge alliance with houses (guilds). Since I was playing a dark elf character in Everquest called Envie (french/spanish version of Envy) at the time, I carried over the name and it stuck with me for many years. I was also very deeply into the fantasy world of Game of Thrones and so even though the name isn't particularly fantasy race based, it has always reminded me of when I started getting involved with the genre more on a roleplay level. My character in Shadowbane was an assassin and she ended up betraying her "House" out of spite and revenge because of a falling out with others in the guild at the time. I took very valuable internal information to an enemy guild and the player I gave the information to enabled their house to destroy an entire player city. It was fairly epic. At that time, someone quoted me the Romance of the Rose poetry passage in old english to equate my character's "Envy" as a powerful weapon - and there you have it.
