The Joker was a really interesting movie, I think they did a wonderful job taking elements from The King of Comedy without being a rip-off, and that they took those elements to a much darker place. It fits the character and the tone of the movie.
And Joaquin Phoenix was perfect in the role. He manages to make you feel pity even though he freakes you out most of the time.
I'm glad I watched it.

Really liked Joker. Phoenix was scary good. like Enid said he makes you feel kind of bad for him while still being completely freaked out. it has this weird effect where i can't help but wonder how much of that could have been avoided if people were just nicer to him, which i am guessing is the intended effect. I like how it remixed the batman origin without making it a batman origin film. if that makes sense.

I saw Joker last week and really loved it. I might go and see it again. I thought everything about it was beautiful - the acting, the cinematography and the score. I liked that it leaves you thinking and questioning things.
One thing I hate is the online fans of the movie, acting like it's some intellectual thinking man's movie. Don't get me wrong, I think it's an absolutely fantastic movie but they're ruining it a bit for me. Similar to why I could never get into Rick and Morty.

The Lighthouse, my most anticipated movie of the year, is not playing in my city. I am outraged. OUTRAGED!

Well, I suppose they 'fixed' Sonic. I hope the internet is happy that the movie will now be a bland bomb rather than a beautifully messy disaster.

I really dont feel interested in the film at all but Emilia Clarke is such a ray of sunshine i have to go see Last Christmas. Seriously, every movie should hire her as an extra so she can run their PR side of things. Frozen II seems to be getting pretty solid reviews. And if it wasn’t already obvious from the trailers, the animation isnsupposed to be breathtaking

I watched Lord of Chaos last night, pretty good movie. I never knew Macaulay Culkin had siblings who acted until last night.

The trailers look like this will be full on OTT zany Jim Carey... which in my opinion means it will elevate to brilliant but ymmv

And if it wasn’t already obvious from the trailers, the animation isnsupposed to be breathtaking Emilia Clarke is a gem for PR.She does amazing. I have not heard too much about Last Christmas from people who have seen it (critics have not been kind) and I kind of want to hear from people on the street before I go. I don't want to cry in the movies. It looks like a Mom and me movie. In other news, I purchased our Frozen II tickets. My kids would kill me otherwise. When the first one came out 6 years ago, they were 5 and the right age to obsessed with it. I am not exaggerating when I say I have seen Frozen a 100 times. I have. Other movies I want to see: The Joker, Richard Jewell, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and of course Star Wars 9: The Rise of Skywalker. I watched Lord of Chaos last night, pretty good movie. I never knew Macaulay Culkin had siblings who acted until last night. I want to see Lords of Chaos. That era of black metal is freaking insane! The actor who played Dead (the lead singer of Mayhem) is Jack Kilmer, son of Val.

Joker 2 confirmed apparently.
That movie absolutely does not need a sequel but I’m sure it’ll still be cool.

Parasite is an engrossing and entertaining black comedy that takes on classism in the 21st century. One of the best movies of the year.
