I'm just gonna spend a minute to point out how UN-FUCKING-BELIEVABLY POWERFUL that long sequence shot following Jon in the midst of the battlefield was. The whole progression from that long shot onwards, with the increasingly confused cuts on the gruesome cruelty of the battle, was just breath taking. I found myself gasping alongside Jon and yelling at the screen while he was smashing Ramsay's face. Their final confrontation was also amazing, with the bow-shield action (instead of a more predictable sword on sword fight) and the hyper-satisfying perfection of watching Jon breaking his goddamn face before stopping when he sees Sansa.
And Sansa... Well, I think all has been said in the video posted above: that perfect little smile in the end was just priceless.

Poor Ramsay. His father gets poisoned by his enemies, his stepmother and brother tragically die soon after and now some rebels have attacked him, stolen his home and now killed him.

I was really impressed with Dany's scenes in this episode. The CGI was miles better than Daznak's Pit. I could see why they wanted to keep that a surprise, even if we already could have predicted that she would use Drogon and Viserion and Rhaegal breaking out of the catacombs. I wasn't expecting Viserion and Rhaegal, very happy they came to the party as well. I agree, the CGI was amazing, especially the dragon riding parts. A proper dragon mounting this time around , left us guessing a few episodes back. I like how Drogon offered his wing! O'l Drogon. I guess the implication is that Dany had been doing some Dragon Lording since then, which even in the books is sort of unexplained , except that dragons understand Valyrian (and it seems one word of Dothraki!).

The cinematography was stunning. The battle was confusing, which is a good thing. A good battle scene needs that for realism.
I loved Sansa's smirk at the end. Makes me think of when Tyrion said that Sansa's not a killer, not yet. I think she'd kill if she had to now.

Okay. Sansa is pissing me off. She bitched at Jon for all that crap in the tent about not knowing anything about battles but just COMPLETELY decides not to tell ANYONE that she might have backup coming????
Stupid. All she had to do was say hey I wrote a letter more people might be coming. I don't understand it, I really don't. Why didn't she say anything??
Am I alone here or??

Duh, he warged into his hounds just to fake his death and fool Sansa. He's gonna come back next season to avenge his father and take his home back.

I'm sure this will be covered next week. Jon is probably going to have some questions.

Lord Umber is glamoured as Ramsay and took his death. Mel is really a Faceless Man and Roose is currently wearing her face (makes sense since both are hundreds of years old). Wait and see the look on the Stark's faces when it all comes out.

The usual Blivt problem raised it head (well more than once) but the Rohirrim Charge of House Arryn was so fast! Didn't seem to have a proper finish , plus , seemingly, not one Knight of the Vale hanging in the background at Winterfell.

Mad Jon = Best Jon. I hope it's permanent. Kind of like Mad Dany is best Dany. They are both good at extremes. Dany riding her dragon into battle and the other two joining...

A thousand Dothraki charge a piddling group of Harpys shaking down an inexplicable group of Meereenise outside the gates, huh?, a budget constraint?

Awesome episode.
Loved seeing Dany on Drogon burning shit up.
Loved the scene between Dany, Tyrion and the Greyjoys.
Loved the glare that little Lyanna Mormont gave Ramsey.
Loved Sansa saving the day with the Vale army and of course the smirk on her face after Ramsey's demise.
